What's new

2023 annual Jazzfanz all time NBA draft

I said it from the outset. No one said anything to me about it then, at all. I never hid anything. I even said you have no idea what you have unleashed, or something like that. I never hid anything. Did you say anything then? No. But now, when I actually do what I said, you get pissy. And it's in the rules. Seriously people need to learn to speak up instead of bitching after the fact. And bitching about following the rules? That's hilarious. Regardless of intent, it's still in the letter of the law, and exactly what I said I'd do. I didn't see you jump in with "well if you really intend on doing that I think you shouldn't be allowed in". But now, after I show I'm a man of my word, by intending to FOLLOW THE RULES OF THE GAME, you get all pissy and high and mighty about it, as if you have some moral high ground. Give me a break. Frankly how do you know I wouldn't have changed my tune if someone had just, you know, ****ing ASKED? Because no one did ask anything. I got punished TWICE while I was OFFLINE and couldn't respond. But that's how it goes here isn't it. Wait until you get mad then blow up. That's the MO.
I definitely see your point. But if you care to hear an opinion from the peanut gallery: I honestly still don't know if you're upset you were removed from the draft or you are just on a crusade about the 'rules' whether they are good or bad, dumb or smart. Which probably isn't helping matters. If you were removed and legitimately upset about it, that's a bummer. I wasn't around during sign ups, so unsure about you saying you would do this from the onset (even then, were you making a point about 24 hours being too long? Not sure).

You were originally the pick after me. Within five minutes of my pick you were online saying okay I will be back one minute before the 24 hours is up. For me, that was the first post I had seen from you, and obviously it seemed an incredibly lame thing to do. Because it seemed you could have made the pick right then. But instead you seemed proud that you would get to delay the draft for 24 hours when it didn't seem necessary. (again, that's how it seemed, not saying that's what you were doing).

It's hard to engage when I truly don't know your true feelings or motivations here. It feels like you think 24 hours is way too long and were going to prove it to everyone. In that case you may have been the lamb for slaughter to maybe adjust the rule going forward. We had just waited over 24 hours for someone, but that was a 'legit' wait. No one wanted to hear we'd be waiting again from a guy who was online the moment he was on the clock.

He definitely said he was going to take the full 24 hours with every pick. We thought he was joking at first, but apparently he wasn't. Imagine using this silly draft as a platform for the most ridiculous protest of all time.

You really are a special kind of *******. Hopefully you don't act like this in real life.

I honestly think Log was trolling and just outright forgot about the draft until it was too late.

I wanted to be included in the draft. I didn't say anything about being bumped to 16. I was willing to pick there, but I wasn't even given the chance. The one you are responding to now has gone down a different tangent specific to that conversation. My original point was I was kicked out and was just following the established rules. So it was unfair and I felt targeted, like it was planned from the beginning when it is not what the rules state. That's all.

Act like what exactly? What about feeling being treated unfairly when I was following the rules exactly makes me a "special kind of whatever"? Do you have something against people following the rules? Are you in favor of arbitrarily kicking people out when you feel like it instead of giving them an equal chance to anyone else? Are you against having conversations around claims made at the outset rather than getting mad after the fact? How is that unreasonable at all? How is calling out unfair treatment being a whatever you had blurred out there?

I was a late sign up. You can take over my team if you’d like.
