Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I think the Jazz will still take Tre Johnson at #5. If Tre isn't available though, it's reasonable to compare Ace to Noa. Ace might be a brilliant, knock-down shooter, but you can see below some of Noa's all-around game as an 18 y.o. in an adult league-- Playmaking at 7:39 and Defense at 10:20..

I believe in his shot, even if the percentage isn’t there now.

The play making really surprised me. He has a really great feel for the game and angles.

He has some “freak” potential in him and I would take that gamble.

He moves and reacts exceptionally well on defense. He has some plays that look like Kirilenko, where he comes out of nowhere and intercepts a pass with perfect timing.

He’s a young AF 18 too, just behind Flagg as the youngest in the class right?

Fitting as he will be the 2nd best player behind Flagg….

I watched some Cashiggy videos on Essengue. My first reaction is….dunks. Wow so many dunks. I don’t feel like I’m exaggerating by saying like 75% or more of his baskets in those games are dunks. Dunks and free throws galore. That is both good and bad. Shot looked fine, but the percentages are what they are.

As an athlete, looks pretty good. Wouldn’t say he’s guard like, but he’s quicker and more explosive than your normal big or larger wing. And he needs that because he is really skinny.

Will definitely need to add some weight. Doesn’t have a great frame to add weight imo, but he is the second youngest player in the draft. My first impression is that he’s kind of like a very skinny, less athletic Aaron Gordon coming out of Arizona. You like the physical tools, seems to have some skill + IQ, can’t shoot right now.

I don’t know if it’s just the twitter algorithm or what, but I’ve seeing so much awful “stats analysis” going on. I’m a numbers guy, but I think Barttovik and other sites have somehow lowered the quality of discussion and analysis. With great power comes great responsibility.

Or maybe that’s just a self report that I’m dumb and the algorithm feeds me other dumb people lol.

Me too. I definitely want at least two guys from this draft - plus a couple of draft and stash guys in the 2nd round.

Ideally, I’d like to see the Jazz take their top rated guy out of Bailey, Johnson and Edgecombe at 5, then move up from 21 for a physical freak like Carter Bryant, Noa Essengue or Rasheer Fleming. Wouldn’t mind getting Demin either.
Took the words out of my mouth

One pretty obvious trade to keep in mind for draft night

Jazz get: #6, #18
Wizards get: #5, #21

The Wiz like moving up for their guy to make sure they get him so if the Jazz and Wizards prefer different players at #5 and no one is knocking down Utah's doors to jump the Wizards, expect the Jazz to trade down to #6.

I sincerely hope they don’t do this. The value of moving back even one spot is not worth moving up three later on. We have no idea who the Wizards might prefer and it’s typically better to just pick your guy and be happy rather than risk having the team you trade with snag your guy and have to settle for option #2.

? I mean, I'm pretty sure the Wizards would just tell the Jazz who they're going to pick. The Wizards and Pacers did this exact same deal two years ago.

The Wizards, Jazz, and Thunder wanted Coulibaly. The Pacers wanted Jarace Walker. The Wizards were at 8 and the Pacers at 7. The Wizards were worried that the Jazz or Thunder would jump up to #7 so they told the Pacers they wanted Coulibaly and would give them a little extra to make sure they got Coulibaly and then the Pacers would still be guaranteed Jarace Walker. I doubt the Wizards would ruin their reputation by lying about a pretty standard one position swap.

I saw one this morning with dunks and Kon and there was like no assist qualifiers or anything and ... yeah... take that stuff out and he looks like Joe Harris... you got the answer you wanted homie.

I just can't do another skinny raw wing right now.

Horrendous trade, no way Ainge do this.

He's not really even a wing from what I'm seeing. He does some perimeter stuff, but almost all of his play on both ends is what a big would do. I rewatched those three games this morning, and in three games he made one jumpshot out of 15 makes. One jumper, about 10 dunks, and the rest tip ins or layups.

Did you literally not read any of the context. The Wizards would be letting us move up from 21 to 18 in exchange for making sure they didn't get jumped. If the Jazz and Wizards like the same guy, this trade will obviously not happen. If they like different guys, this would be basically a free move from 21 to 18 for the Jazz.
