Following Potential 2025 Draftees

I guess what I'm saying is that my tiers aren't very bold because I have all the guys in contention (3-9) in the same tier lol. I suppose what would make mine different from the consensus is that I have Kas and Jase in this tier and I have them high within the tier.
Honestly... I don't think a list needs to be "bold" or have any hot takes to be valuable. As long as it's well reasoned and researched, an honest take is as valuable as it gets... whether it includes outliers or not.

I still haven't seen Kas and Jase...

Just a thought....Everyone that is not just trying to be edgy has Harper #2. It's pretty much uncontested. He's not the best shooter, I don't think he's the best passer, and I don't think he played the most amazing defense this year either. His case is really based on #1 He's really freaking good at attacking the hoop and #2 attacking the hoop is really important. I'd 100% agree with those things on Harper and I also carry that logic with the rest of board. Being able to attack the rim and produce the efficient shots for himself/teammates is king.
I just love how everyone who dislikes Ace brings up "How does the team suck so bad that has 2 top 5 picks?" then assigns 100% of the blame to Ace while Harper skates. If you are going to rate Ace like 21 like some on this board are doing (largely based off of his team's performance), how can you have that much faith in Harper? There is precious little in watching the games to suggest that Harper was carrying Ace that hard.

Crazy you invented all of that up in your head. I was talking about driving to the basket lmao.

Jase is honestly the most impressive in the condensed style film. I haven’t watched a full game of his, but I’d imagine he’s less impressive there.

This Carter Bryant top 10 hype is so weird, he's just so limited offensively.
He's a project for sure. It's mind boggling to see all these Californian kids going to Arizona when they have powerhouses like UCLA, USC, SDSU, Cal, Stanford, etc. He'd be in a much different situation staying at home and choosing a program that would give him consistent starting role/playing time.

None of those schools are powerhouses anymore.

agreed. i haven't seen anybody not have him at 2 though. but if that were a thing, they'd be overthinking it.

I like Carter Bryant and I've going on and on about how low usage guys can turn into higher one's in the NBA....but he really is pushing the bounds. Very short list of players with this low of usage coming into the NBA, only 12 non center first round picks with a usage lower than 18. There are few more upperclassman who had lower usage freshman years tbf. OPJ, Keegan Murray, Mikal Bridges, Cam Johnson, Cristian Braun....the hope is that he would be like them if he returned to school.

I have just recently started seriously going through prospects from this draft. I don't know what the likes of Sam Vecenie is talking about when saying past the top 2 this is a normal draft. No it isn't. I like a ton of prospects past the top 2 and I have liked players throughout the whole 1st round range. This draft is in another universe compared to last year, for example, when I struggled to get to 5 players I was excited about. Good draft to have multiple picks in.
I agree. This draft is pretty deep. Would be great if we had one more first-round pick. There may be a future star lurking somewhere between picks #11-20, or even #21-30.

It looks like most of this board has had VJ, Tre, and Ace in the #3-5 spots for a while now. We even have a thread here asking which one we want. Idk, I’ve looked at this thing over and over, and compared to these three, Kasparas comes out on top whenever I try to predict what these prospects will be in 4-5 years. Sure, projecting is tough, and I could be wrong, of course, but so could others who prefer VJ, Tre, or Ace over Kas.
