Jase not performing in workouts? I know he's small, but if you had eyes you would have already known that I wonder why he's dropping. Could be that he was never that high to begin with.

I also think teams would lie about this stuff too. Like if you were higher on Jase/Coward/Beringer or some other guy you think could slide then why not give different names?

Don't they poll teams for this info to understand who they should invite?

I'm sure this happens to some extent, but also Occam's razor.. It's far more likely that he's not invited because of legitimate team voting rather than coordinated scheming. If all teams are being polled, he would already have to be on the bubble for strategic mis-voting to have any meaningful effect.

I prefer spinning the narrative to fit what I want. So Coward being a mystery man... kind of... sort of... more teams wanted to shield their real evaluation.

In regards to Coward....I had some suspicions that his "rise" was somewhat do to being a more interesting story to write about. I don't really have a problem with ranking him high, but he was kind of flavor for the month for farming engagement. Whatever amount of hype was real and coming from NBA teams, I bet the media took it further because it is an interesting story. The KOC types love to run with that stuff.

Good... I am all in if he is there at 21.

I am trying to think of examples of this... I am sure there are some... just can't think of any.

Just generally I feel as though there are some prospects who are more fun/interesting to read and write about than others. And this can come in the form of either positive or negative coverage. It's just part of the job for media members. I can't really think of many specific examples either, but the one that came to mind was actually Peek engagement farming against Zach Edey.

Locked on mock draft posted today... had us taking Tre Johnson (shocker I know) and then had us take Will Riley with CMB on the board. I'll be honest... I think Riley is the guy I hate this year... which means its happening.

The jarring thing about Locke's interest in Reilly is that it seems like he's just searching around for reasons to like him. I'm so unconvinced because he seems unconvinced. Usually he can find a way to hype someone up.
