Riley has some of the weirdest movements. Looks like a flying squirrel when trying to draw contact on jumpers. In general, his feet are everywhere. Looks really goofy.

Yangs body mechanics look really pleasing to me. Like 99th percentile for his size. Also liked how he showed out at the combine. Did a few things that looked like elite reads in the highlight reels (back door pass, the block in recovery on his man). I’d be stoked if we draft Yang. Glad we had him in for a workout. Utah needs an HMart tho (I know it’s Korean but place slaps).
 
The Liam McNeeley vs Will Riley comparison is pretty interesting to me. I think McNeeley is the safer pick because I do believe he will be able to shoot. He also has a more NBA ready body. I think Riley is the more exciting pick, because I believe in his ability to playmake some more. McNeeley was asked to do too much on ball for UCONN, and potentially Riley could have handled more than he was allowed to at Illinois.

FWIW, on the game theory podcast whenever they talk about Riley they talk about him as a guy who will help his second team more than his first. Or in other words he will be good eventually, but it will take him some time.
