To me it looks like he's not doing any adjusting. Everyone else is adjusting to him and his pet actions.

It's only been two games, but I don't know what you're really expecting. JJJ adapting to the offense isn't the reinventing the wheel. He's going to be playing mostly in the same areas of the court and doing the same things, but the UTA offense is way more involved than the MEM offense. He's looked comfortable from a skill standpoint doing the dribble handoff stuff, but he's always going to be tilted towards scoring and that's just fine. Our offense caters to him very well and creates a lot of mismatches and little advantages for him.

My offensive fit concerns don't really have to JJJ or the system as much as it does the other personnel and lack of ball handlers.

Well, yeah. I mostly meant that even though it's only been two games, we've made it a point to cater to him right from the start, even though he's the dude joining an existing roster, and a negative offensive player to boot.

In the Magic game, Keyonte was pushed into a marginal role despite having numerous stretches this season where he pretty much carried the Jazz offensively. Suddenly he was a nobody, as JJJ needed his customary touches and shots at his preferred spots. Yes, it was the first game, but it still didn't sit right with me.

He's essentially replacing Svi in the starting lineup, things are going to change as they should. He's also played 9 minutes with Key and Key had 5 true shooting attempts in those 9 minutes. Not sure what the big deal is there. If there's anything that sticks out to me about the JJJ-Key minutes it's that we actually played strong defense which is not something that has happened often with Key on the court.

Big man in the middle of the court operating with the ball is a main pillar our half court offense, and that's also where Jaren likes to play. The guy with the biggest adjustment is Nurk who is spending a lot more time in the dunker spot instead of being the hub himself.
