Following potential 2012 draftees

Awesome Royce has so much attention I suppose. I will say this: Fred Hoiberg > Tyrone Corbin, and that is not an intended insult. Hoiberg is an NBA caliber coach already IMO. The Iowa State offense was much more fun to watch this season than the Jazz offense. Except when they played Kentucky, but no one's offense was really fun to watch against them.

Royce was fun to watch against UK .. from a UK fan perspective.

PKM, any idea how many/which teams seem to really be interested in D Miller? I know we were all terrified that the Spurs would find a way to get him several pages back, but doesn't it seem somewhat unlikely with Leonard/Jackson/Green? Do you know of any other team that might might seriously consider taking him higher than his projected early 2nd round?

PKM, I have to wonder if the talks with the Cavs has more to do with the #24 pick, not the #4 or even the #33/34 picks. Am I out of my mind?

Honestly, the Cavs are an ideal trading partner because they have 4 draft picks in the first and very early second round.

...this is what I've been saying.

You should also consider that they don't have any shot at the current (weak) class of free agents, but might have a shot next year if Irving and the other young guns show promise. Thus, I one-year rental of Al make sense (and helps them spend 90% of the cap, which they must).

Utah trades: Al
Cleveland trades: #24 + #33 + Walton (expiring)

EDIT: I'm guessing the Jazz want more than this... and I'd like that, too. Ideally, we don't have to take back Walton. And, maybe we can get a future second-rounder on top of the two picks this year.

I like where your head it at. If we are to take on Salary that the Cavs don't want then if I was KOC I would really push for the #4 pick. The problem that I see is that outside of Irving, Thompson and Varejao the Cavs don't have any extra salary beyond next season.

Wow .. major blunder on my part. Asst coach Antigua just told me that Darius unofficially measured 6'6 while in Indy. If true, that'll teach me to be so confident with a tape measure.

Was it the tape measure's fault or yours for being more "mature"?

Let's hear some ideas.

GST is looking for;
- A starting SF
- A backup PG
- A back-up Big

They're willing to deal their #7, 30, 35, and 52 in trying to get as much of that accomplished as possible.

I hate that GST is trying to trade their #7 for a great SF.

I feel the same way. It was a nice article, thanks for posting. It does bring up some good names that the Jazz should look at as well like Arthur from Memphis or Reggie Evans in a back up role of some sort. Of course pursuing anyone like that means trading out one or more of our bigs.
