We probably would have worked out some players if the front office was thinking about trading
I look at it as Biedrins getting his big contract and then just getting lazy. He had half a good year and got way overpaid. I don't like that trade at all. If the Jazz are taking on that money then they should be getting the 7th pick.
I don't like that trade at all because of Biedrins contract and poor attitude.
I don't think so. But he tore his ACL in the playoffs. Even if he makes it back next year it will be near the end of the season. If they are not in the playoffs or in the hunt they are not going to play him at all. If they unload Deng their odds of being a playoff team go down again. So is Rose out all next year?
What if it is Richard Jefferson instead of Biedrens? Same years, about the same money and plays the needed position of SF. No need to resign Miles or Howard then.

The poster of the trade (ralphb07) said that it could possibly be Richard Jefferson instead of Biedrins. Which would make more sense.
Jefferson shoots over 40 percent from the 3. Overpaid for sure but would be better than Miles or Josh Howard. 2 years left at 9 Million. Than add in the draft picks. Who knows maybe trade Millsap or Jefferson to get into the lottery with all the draft picks we would have.
This ain't the NFL. Late firsts are pretty worthless. Outside the lottery, you generally have just a couple of guys who end up surprising and becoming legit starters, let alone all-stars. Rondo would require at least one early lottery pick...think a package just slightly less than what the Jazz got for Deron. What would a package including #29, 30, Bulls 2013 first, GSW protected pick, Jazz 2014 first fetch? (and Jefferson/Harris/Millsap if they want)
5 late first round picks for Rondo? Too much or too little?
And without a 1st-round pick, it's likely agents wouldn't let projected 1st-rounders work out for the Jazz. It decreases the perceived value of that player. If the jazz are inlove with a specific player like Lillard, they probably don't want to bring them in to throw off ther teams that might be interested. Or cause teams to jump ahead to pick whoever the jazz might want. If the jazz had a mid first thats another story. I'm sure they did their homework at the combine or traveled to other workouts. Don't give up yet.
Even though they are..... would they turn down a better talent for Iggy? If Brand only has 1 year left why can't he come off the bench? He isn't really effective anymore right? Whether they have Millsap or not does it make sense to start Brand just because he makes 18 million?
