where you're calling a persons assumption 'utterly or completely foolish', which is what asinine means by definition (I also don't quite understand why the a and the s where italicized- I feel like that doesn't help your cause either).

Simply calling a persons views illogical is both more accurate, and less disrespectful

I just did a quick scan through the last 6 or 7 pages of this thread. Trout claims I call believers "stupid". I can't find this.

So when I make a post like this

I think placing the word allegedly intentionally several times, in bold, in a persons post can come across as quite condescending, especially when coupled with the "now you can continue" remark. There are better ways to communicate your viewpoints, without (accidentally, from what I can tell) coming across as an ***.

my spirituality has very little to do with logic or proof. I'm not that kind of intellectual.

The short of it is this:
Human-centric accounts of the nature of the universe (and the God-is-manlike arguments that are a subsection of this), fail to grasp the complexity of the world. They are "human, all too human."

Half of my family is very Mormon, and I still have dozens of close friends that are Mormon. I actually prefer the mormon cosmology over trending Evangelical renderings of things.

Look dude, if you think that the way you were communicating with other posters in this thread was perfectly fine, reasonable, and the others are simply way too easily-offeneded, then go on right ahead. I was just trying to point out that there are better ways for you to communicate your opinions on matters like these. The notion that two people of different faiths cannot have civilized dialogue is a humorous one to me, and it kinda irks me when I see people of two different parties getting into this sort of riffraff. In this instance, I felt that it was your fault, so I tried pointing this out. Seeing as I feel like you're not really understanding my point, I will respectfully return back to my silence, posting lacklustre PKM insults, poorly-crafted photoshops, and KOC-worship (no homo) threads instead.
