Perhaps not how to raise them, but quite possibly that there's something going on in one of their lives that I am unaware and should look into it. Maybe I have been too busy recently to hear God, maybe I've been spending too little time in prayer. Possibly I'm even shunning God at this time in my life .. but God loves my child and I believe will use any resource to reach them, including Conan.

I read it as if you were somehow saying that I was ignoring the gospel truths in my walk, and that my mind is only on things of this life .. but I doubt that was the message. No biggie on that post, though, seems relatively sterile in the scheme of things.
 
As a sidenote: Anyone notice how quickly Wes lost interest after posting this thread?
(Just found it kinda funny)

That's weird. So a stranger comes to my house and says he has a message from God about my son. I'm grabbing a bat. You're inviting him in?

Look, Dude. If you are going to go through every one of my posts with a fine-tooth comb looking for insults this isn't going to last long. Trust me. If I want to insult you I will.

I think you know that's not what I'm saying. But, God may very well use a stranger to deliver a message (in fact, I'm sure he does) .. but if it's from God, it will be done in such a way that your impulse is not to beat the person bloody.

Not doing that at all. Just a friendly exchange of beliefs and only clarifying.

Mods, if any are lurking, please jump in and let me know if I should stop. Just curious, but I know topics on religion can spiral in a hurry. I promise I'll have no party to that.

Don't get me wrong. I think God speaks through people all the time. I just don't think he gives revelation to complete strangers about advice to give other complete strangers on how to raise their kid.

No, I don't know that's what you're saying. That's why I asked that question. How would you react to that situation?
