Wooden was talking about college. Again, you're basing your beliefs on the numbers? Did you see these guys play against each other from 1976-78 when Walton was the league's best all-around player? He was MVP in 1978.

What made Walton so good was his all-around team play, fantastic passer. He was like Bird in the sense that he made his teammates around him better. He wasn't about getting lots of points and putting up great stats. He was about winning.

About Chamberlain and Jabbar. Did you see the finals series. Chamberlain was well past his prime, yet who won -- the Lakers. Why because Chamberlain dominated on the boards. Statistics be damned. You need to see games to make an accurate appraisal. I saw them on TV, these matchups I'm describing.

I never said Walton sucked. He won an MVP. Kareem won 6

Kareem wasn't about winning? He has more rings than Bird and Walton combined. Oh and when he was at UCLA they went 88-2 and won 3 NCAA titles.

If Kareem was all about stats as opposed to Walton why didn't Walton average more assists?

No I didn't watch. So I won't comment on Wilt vs. Kareem.

Yeah, Jordan was so selfish that he won six rings and helped elevate the play of his teammates. Wilt, who was so ****ing great, won a whopping two and did nothing to truly make those around him better. I'm going to guess that you've never read anything about him as a player though.

As with most great players, there are a lot of different opinions. Some teammates thought like you, others speak much more highly of Chaimberlain's teamwork.

Yes, and five of them were with Magic, arguably the second best player of all-time and best team player of all-time (toss-up between him and Bird)

Regarding Walton and Kareem, I believe Walton's teams only lost one game in college, to David Thompson and NC State in the NCAA finals, his last game in college, playing under tremendous pressure because of the 70-game win streak, and Thompson at the peak of his skills, probably better than Michael Jordan as a college player.

Kareem 38000 reasons why but i think he was the best ever 6 rings and mvps. Plus hes in a Bruce Lee movie a episode of Simpsons and Baseketball. One of the coolest fights ever.

From my Damn phone

I really hate the guy, but Kobe Bryant has the rings, the stats, and the competitive drive. Plus, he's a defensive glove, a bitch, a rapists, and has hit more big shots than Robert Horry. If he's not second to Jordan, I don't know who is.

That ******* doesn't even have a statue of him.

Kobe's defense has been over-rated for years. It is EXTREMELY OVER-RATED when you look at what he does now.

I guess me and you are the only ones who think Kobe is. I sense a bias.

There are some many things to go off of. Like stats, rings, mvp's, etc... I just think Kobe was more skilled than any of the guys listed. The guy in his prime was a straight assassin. Kobe's only weakness was his attitude. I get the feeling he would be sitting on more rings if he would have matured earlier. And he still can add more rings with this next run.

I know I'm in the minority here, but I honestly would put Jordan at #2, behind Magic, and I really despise the Lakers.
