No doubt.
The guy is beyond great shape.
I'm guessing 3 percent body fat?
Wouldn't he have more definition in his legs with that low a percentage?

Yeah he's calfs aren't nearly as ripped as his upper body, so I'll take it up a couple of percentages.
I think 5% is close to where he's at. Regardless, he's in a far better shape than he was last season. I'm really looking forward to seeing whether it pays off!
If those pics are available prior to the draft we took him he wouldn't have fallen to 3. He's way more valuable than Derrick Williams. At 20 years old his physique and conditioning are ridiculous! Although he hasn't yet learned to play the NBA game (especially on the offensive end) we've seen plenty of signs that the skills are there. He'll never be a leaper, but he's big enough to protect the rim without leaping. If we do the draft all over again today do we take him again @ 3?

You people act like you've never seen a ripped NBA player before. I hate to break it to you but Brian Grant had more muscle definition than Karl Malone (but I'm pretty sure Malone's body fat % was lower.)
Also, I don't buy these claims that Kanter wasn't in as good of shape last year. When he was drafted he was at 5% body fat. He's been a monster since he was 17.
I'll be excited when he runs the floor like Karl Malone* and stops getting the ball torn out of his clumsy hands.
*When I say runs like Karl Malone I mean runs hard all night long. I want him to keep his huge-stepped, lumbering run that I've grown to love![]()
Kanter has always been in good condition, but never like this, IMO. I don't ever remember him having a six pack.
For the record, I think Kanter is going to surprise people this year. Everyone seems to be expecting pretty big leaps from Favors, Hayward, and Burks, but only moderate improvement from Kanter. I think he'll show more improvement than the majority here are expecting.
Absolutely. I'm very confident he'll be a top 2 player from that draft. Well, top 3, depending on how Burks turns out![]()
