Following potential 2013 draftees

Btw i did infact just edit the answer to your question into last post just now, without seeing your question.

yes. one of the few assets id consider moving burks for, Shabazz looks double team worthy, early on. if he progresses in that skillset, watchout, im convinced hes better than what i saw from harden, and its not even close when you compare their freshman years.

Great minds think alike, eh?

One of the bigger differences between Bazz and Harden to me is that Harden's game is more focussed on handles, Muhammad's is more reliant on post ups.

Too small to play SF but too slow to play SG. No thanks.

I'm not alone in this:

Mike (Cleveland)

I have read where you say Muhammad's natural position is at SF. But I have read where lots of people (fans and scouts) who believe he can play SG in the NBA. Why do you believe he is better suited to be an undersized 3 rather than an oversized 2?

Chad Ford (1:13 PM)

I'm not sure he has the quickness, on either end, to be a two. He's strong and physical. He bullies his way around. I think he might get abused by the quicker, smaller twos in the NBA. The issue for scouts is that at 6-5, he's undersized as a three. That's why some are trying to project him as a two guard. But I just don't think he has that game offensively, and more importantly, I'm not sure he can guard twos on the defensive end. That's why he's been sliding a bit in our rankings. Teams love the motor and he's obviously a gifted scorer, but there are concerns.

Shabazz is a scorer in the mold of a Paul Pierce or Joe Johnson. He doesn't look like a good defender, but he'll be an early option for anyone's offense at the 2 or 3. He'll need to develop more pump fakes and change-up moves in the pros. He's definitely a scorer.

Chad Ford... the same guy who had Daniel Orton 11th and Hassan Whiteside 13th on his big board around the 2010 draft?

Look.. he's talking to scouts, etc... it must be a valid concern with him playing SF as a 6'5 and whether his quickness is sufficient at SG.

You have to be able to guard your position, otherwise you're a tweener.

I'm just saying he's not a gold calf this thread is making him out to be, is all.

Everyone is obviously entitled to their opinion, but it's a ridiculous notion to think 'Bazz will have a problem finding a position in the NBA.
The only doubt I've heard is how good of teammate he might be... but for him to go any lower than 3 is just dumb.

Great question. 50/50 .. I dont love Jabari's athleticism, but I would probably take him first. Loads of intangibles to go along with length and polish.

Shabazz vs Jabari is a tough one. Shabazz will probably be the overall better scorer, but Jabari will be better in most other aspects of the game.

is it tough when you take into account that next years picks will be a premium in value next to this years?

i personally the jazz pick in 2014 is gonna be in the 20's so why not trade it up now and make moves here with all this flexibility

Weren't we simply talking about who's going to be better player in the NBA?

For the record, I'd give up any of our assets other than Favors to get Shabazz. Not totally sure if I would give up Kanter.
