Wu-Tang Clan

A Wilhelm Scream

Honorable mention to about a million other bands.

My favorite band is Death though I do listen from Neil Young to Pearl Jam or From Opeth to Gorillaz. I even listen to Tupac sometimes. By the way I hate lists.

Thank you for reminding me of Defiance, Ohio ... they had slipped my memory. I was just listening to AWS today atctually. Very good list. Have you listened to Ghostface's new album yet? Its really good.

Yeah, actually just listened to it this morning. Classic Ghostface. Hard to get really excited about new Wu-Tang, because for the most part it's just them rehashing themselves, but still really good.

*The producer did a really good job with his sampling though and the backing vocalist they got.

Brand New
Rise Against
Coheed & Cambria
Blue October
Thrice

Use to Listen to Brand New. I heard them live once at the Mandalay Bay in Vegas when I was in High School... They were opened for Dashboard Confessional (Please don't make fun of me for going to a Dashboard Concert... I was with a girl ;)

All time: Beatles, Stones, Dylan, Cash, and Zeppelin. Maybe Springsteen, Floyd, Beasties, and/or U2.

Current: Black Keys, Any/every Jack White project, My Morning Jacket, Arcade Fire, Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

I probably forgot someone but I'll go with that.

I went to a Dashboard concert once. But it was just because they were opening for Weezer. My silly cousin who came with me (along with his then-gf, now-wife) claimed that Dashboard overshadowed Weezer.

I'm taking Sinatra over Blink 182 now that I know "band" doesn't have to include multiple goons in the Jazzfanz rankings. Driving the Vegas strip at night with Sinatra blaring is never going to get old. Never.

damn. Cancel the letter.

I don't do all-time rankings, so here's what I've been listening to lately:

*Future Islands
*Tune Yards (WHOKILL)
*Atoms for Peace
*Palace of Buddies (SLC-based band)
*Bill Callahan

Weezer (all time)
Goo Goo Dolls (all time)
Florida Georgia Line (current)

Nobody else is really coming to mind at the moment.

Current, because I can't rank all the past bands I love. No particular order...
Imagine Dragons
Avalanche City
Edward Sharpe & the Magnetic Zeros
Of Monsters & Men
The Lumineers
