NBA Draft Lottery

The only and I really do mean ONLY downside to winning a top 3 pick is that you might have to pay the guy a little bit more on his rookie contract. And with the Jazz's financial flexibilty even that is a small downside.

For those who think a top three pick would somehow undermine a planned tank job, to get Wiggins/Parker remember Ty Corbin is still the coach. Believe.

what if we get lucky in the lotto... get a top 3. then trade it to anohter teamt that looks like they will suck for next years lotto pick and we then get to lotto picks and draft both.... is this even possible?,, i dont think it is, but hey we are jazz fanz we love being unrealistic and dreaming..

Oof, if teh jazz land in the top3, then I might have to turn in teh fan card. At the very least, I'll de-laminate it and let it fray. Too many of teh god damn conundrums.

Fixed.
Does this help you understand?

wat?

We've discussed this ad nauseam.. but this is just ridiculous and I sincerely hope you guys aren't serious.

Sure, it would be a tough choice between some yawners.. but a top 3 pick is a great asset. I would hope we would trade it and move down to pick up someone like Schroder while picking up a mid-first for next year. But to wholesale wish against getting a top 3 is downright terrible. I was giving everyone the benefit of the doubt and trying to take all this in context... but I'm beginning to think there are actually people here that would prefer #14 over #1-3.

I believe that the only one being serious about not wanting to get in the top 3 is YB..... The others are sarcastically poking fun at him..... I think.

The Jazz's odds tonight:

#1: 0.5%
#2: 0.5942940126228%
#3: 0.7248991707198%

Top Three: 1.8191931833426%

If the Jazz get a top three pick, I would like to see them trade down and get one or two of Burke, Porter or Bazz the Spazz, or a first rounder for next years draft. I used to think that they should use the pick to get Noel, but the guy is so skinny, he is like a overhyped Jeremy Evans.

Top 3 pick, here's what I'd do:

Let's say it's #3 pick, use it on Porter.

Trade #21 and Burks, to move up and get Schroeder at #14.

Schroeder
Hayward
Porter
Favors
Kanter

That's an exciting young team with length, athleticism, shooting and defensive presence. I'll be excited about that team for years and years and decades even.

Fun fact about the draft: Orlando has picked #1 three times. They picked shaq, c Webb and Dwight. The one conclusion I have about Orlando is that they are extremely good at picking number one, and extremely bad at keeping a superstar. They should have won multiple titles with shaq and c Webb.

where are all of C Webb's titles hiding?

Bazz > HBarnes

We've got lotto karma on our side bishes.

We get #3. We draft Bazz. We s&t Jefferson to OKC, take their pick, give them #21, take back Perk, select Schroeder.

Championships.

If we get a top 3 pick this is what we do..

We trade the top 3 pick, #21 next years top six protected pick and Marvin Williams to Boston

For Rondo!!

Then we pick up Wolfers or Bongo in the 2nd round

The bring over Tomic...

Sign Landry...

Sign Carrol

Sign Korver or Foye...

We look like this...

Rondo/ Wolter or Bongo/ Tinsley
Burks/Korver or Foye/Murphy
Hayward/Carrol
Favors/Landry/Evans
Kanter/Tomic

Would love it but we can't S&t until first week of July!!

Penny was a stud and worked better with Shaquille then CWeb would've!!

Either way, if we can somehow get into the Top 3 tonight it will be a franchise-changer. I don't care what draft we're picking in, if we keep acquiring Top-3 talent then we'll rebuild the right way.
