Amen to that. Every draft has this player who is way better than expected that so many teams missed on. Paul is that guy right now. If he were drafted 15, would we be freaking out? Probably not as much, but just because the Jazz were one pick ahead we freak out. And besides, as has been pointed out, Paul is not that much better per 36.
What is Hayward? He is a good shooter, he is an elite transition defensive player, he embarrassed Kobe defensively last year, he has been assigned to guard a point guard a time or two because our point couldn't handle it, and oh, by the way, he is a better playmaker than our point guard. He is one of the most complete players that I know of, so what's stopping him from becoming a superstar?
Hmm, just remembered that in the exit interviews the coaching staff told him to take more of a leadership role on the team.......
