The Official Trey Burke Evaluation Thread

I can't wait until Burke has a great game, and becomes everyone's Messiah.

I re-watched the game again, and seriously I counted at least 4-5 more passes that Burke made that could have been assists... either Evans botched the dunk, or someone missed a wide open jumper...

This game/performance could have been quite different if those shots had gone in ...

You don't generally get elite potential with the 9th pick.

Perhaps generally. But I still think Jazz got the best player in the draft. Granted this draft had no sure superstars, so #1 pick may be as good as #9, but there is a reason Burke was the voted the best player in the nation as just a Sophomore. There is a reason why bookmakers feel he is far and away the best pick for ROY. He will come through as the summer League progresses.

His shooting sucked, but he made a bunch of fine passes in the game.

It's hard for me to care too much about a summer league game in general.

OK Guys... Guys!! Thanks to Prodigy, we have Trey Burke's highlights of the first game:

All credit to VSlice, he was the one who actually posted em.

I really like how Gobert doesn't bite on every shot fake like a certain someone (ahem...McGee). He knows just putting his arms up will radically effect most the shots. I'm sure thats what KOC and Lindsey saw in him as well.
