This.
Every player has at least 1 glaring weakness and this is Vonleh's weakness. He just doesn't seem to have #Hunger. Can he obtain it somehow? May be he needs to hike to the Tibetian Mountains to receive it from the Holy Monks. May be he's sitting eating Subway 1 day and suddenly realise he deserves better than that ****!!!!!
Once he gets that #Hunger, he's gonna be #Scary.[/QUOTE
I read an article about him. His mother took him and the rest of the children to a weeks worth of Disneyland. She had to force him to go the first day, but she could not force him anymore and he spent the rest of the week in a local gym playing basketball. That is why he is good as he is at such a young age. He has the hunger inside him to be great and improve.
He is also the top rebounder among the top 100 players in this years draft, and played less than 27 minutes a game. I remember AK going an entire game without one lousy rebound. I remember stating even a statue holding a peach basket should get one rebound.
So let me summarize:
# Has back to the basket moves at a young age.
# Has a handle and can drive to the basket.
# Has a three point shot, so he can be a stretch four. Isn't that why Marvin was suppose to be getting so much playing time?
# The kid is a gym rat. These type of player rarely prove not to be the type not to improve.
# This young kid was the top rebounder of the top 100 players in the draft.
# The kid played in a major conference.
# The kid has hands bigger than Julius Erving!
# He can shoot free throws.
# He can hit hook shots with either hand.
# He can get up and down the floor better or just as good than most bigs.
# At this early age he is already a respected shot blocker.
# The kid may still be growing as he is so young and he already has a great wing span.
Hell guys with all that going for him he may end up being one of the best of the draft...just saying.
