Bruno Caboclo... the next Giannis?

Gotta say at first this pick made me scratch my head and ask 'who?' upon further review he looks like a monster wing prospect, still i have to believe they could have traded down and gotten him...

It's refreshing to see that someone like this could fly under the radar, If Ujiri gets this pick right hes going to look like a genius.

The youngest player in the draft. I saw some nasty blocks in other videos too. Apparently hes going to be playing with the Raptors SL team.

Throughout the draft Simmons and Rose made snide comments about picks which I found to be pretty dumb. Taking shots at Exum because he doesn't have as much exposure that college players in the draft had or even scoffing at this pick. Maybe(it's likely they do) the Raptors know something they(Simmons and Rose) don't. Maybe this kid isn't 4 years away from having an impact at the NBA level. They act as if the Raptors could have waited and taken this guy later on. We'll never know if they could have. If they had him as the best player on their board at the 20th pick then it is ridiculous to sit there and armchair GM them when they have a lot more information on him than a couple of youtube videos. Simmons and Rose had their douchebaggery on full display tonight IMO at times. If this kid does pan out, I am going to guess there is no mention down the road by either of them pertaining to how wrong they were.

Bodhi posted this in another thread. If the tweet is accurate, the Jazz were thinking exactly what you were if he fell to them at 23. Which means Simmons and Rose were talking out of their asses about him lasting to the next Raptors pick or trading down.

This kid is one of my favorite players from this draft. He figures to be a matchup nightmare.

Theirs no doubt in my mind that this kid is a better project than Clint Capela, Damien Inglis or Walter Tavares.

He looks... Ultra athletic..

You realize that Simmons on ESPN is different from Simmons on Grantland.
And well that's catering to the audience if there's a pick being made that none expected. He was not listed by dx, meaning there was a certain secrecy or surprise behind him. They usually have all the internationals listed somewhere.
What are you doing as a host if there's someone you have never heard about? They went with entertaining the viewers.

DX ranks Caboclo #18 amongst '95 internationals. Very early commitment to someone from this draft class. Must really like his upside.

He doesn't act like he is a scout, he literally says "I watched this guy on youtube and I like him for no apparent reason" or stuff like that. He doesn't go in depth with his analysis, he just gives you his opinion. A lot of people enjoy hearing it, I know I do. Dude is funny. Sometimes being funny makes you comes off as a jerk/dick/***.

If the Raps want to be in the playoffs again next year, I doubt we'll see much Caboclo outside the D-League, Summer League and garbage minutes.
