Watson sure has accepted and excelled in the backup point guard role.
One thing that would help Utah get off to a better start is to quit using the first possession of every game to give AK a 19 foot brick opportunity.
The way to do that is to consider putting Miles into the starting lineup, especially against teams whose wings aren't particuarly tall such as the Cavs'. In previous years, AK has already been placed in the 6th man role, and he hasn't clearly merited being a starter this year, at least not often enough to make his starting spot secure. I've thought that putting Miles in the starting lineup for Bell would be a more sensible approach, but maybe games like tonight suggest that more of Miles and Bell together is worth considering if the opposing 2/3 pairing isn't too tall. Nice to see Bell getting more comfortable with his shot. It's big help if he can keep it up.One thing that would help Utah get off to a better start is to quit using the first possession of every game to give AK a 19 foot brick opportunity.
Yes, truth hurts. Especially when it comes from me . . . .I agree with IGS (ugh) that Fes and Evans should have got some development PT, or even Hayward, especially once Utah went up by 20.
