Are you saying put Sap in the second unit? Maby we take it a step more, take Ak out of the starting lineup, make him the backup sf bring in Elson to play ether c or pf and have Cj start play Ak and Sap starter minuts as 6th and 7th men off the bench.

Ak would play against crappier players and Sap can dominate the other teams #2 pf and, be the main offensive threat off the bench. At this point I don't know if it would work but who knows.

Start Al and Okur and let Millsap come off the bench. It isn't rocket science. Okur can play the kind of minutes that Fess did in the playoffs last year.

I like either one of these ideas. I just think we need a shakeup. I would even go this far:

D Will
Hayward
CJ
AJ
Okur

Bring in AK, Sap and Bell at the 2,3,4 with Sap getting starter minutes but against the second unit to start with. This gives the rookie some burn and helps him keep his confidence after he played pretty well then got DNP'd since. I think this infuses some life into the starting unit as well. You get all kinds of matchup problems on that second team for any other second unit in the league and we suddenly go from one of the worst to one of the best benches out there. I also think it would help CJ get a little more consistent as he has to play from the get-go under Deron's direction.

I don't know if this is really any better, or some variation, than what we have now, but to watch Sloan do his normal "you gotta play though it" thing while we lose game after game with no changes reminds me of this:

I agree with this. This team needs a shakeup in a major way. AK, Bell and Millsap have all been disappointments this season and Bell's minutes in particular need to be maxed at 20. But Okur needs to be healthy for this to work.

True, but he could give 4 or 5 min to start the game the meter it from there. Just the threat of his 3 pt shooitng would spread the floor for AJ and D Will to work down low to get us a jumpstart. With CJ and Hayward in there too the 3 pt threat is even larger, and then memo and aj could work high-low in the post the way boozer and sap/okur did so well.

Either way we get a more energetic starting lineup, maybe starting games this way will help us get back on track.

Sloan has already confirmed he isn't going to change the line up for boston... even with the worst first quarter team its impossible to change the stubborn bastage's mind.
