Does Reed Shepperd fit this profile.
Not really.

Kind of need plus size next to Sexton.

Reed would be a fun guy to get for the bench rotation though.

Now if you inverse things and you get that star guard who has size (which would be ideal, but you can't cook with ingredients you dont have) then guys like Reed become more valuable.

Dunn plays for the team. THT seems to play for his PPG and APG, e.g he’s reluctant to pass unless the pass may give him an assist.
I mean, his ability to play point was rooted in his drive and kick ability which is going to default to racking up more assist/potential assist, but I never got the feeling like he would hold onto the ball just for that to happen. Actually think him doing that would have been more of a positive. Too often the Jazz's offenes with THT/Sexton or THT/Clarkson amounted to passing the ball back and forth until someone got stuck with a grenade. Part of what has made Dunn effective is that he is holding onto the ball, making a move, then giving it up to a guy who is in position to score.

For what it's worth, THT was 2nd on the team in total passes made per game and 2nd in total potential assist per game, so his ratio doesnt seem to be anything out of the ordinary. He is also 2nd in the team in hockey assist (passes that lead to an assist)

The oddest thing about Dunn to me is that he can't attempt/make layups with momentum going to the rim. It's the most puzzling thing about him. He's athletic, he's long, he's a good ball-handler, he has nice touch on his push shots, so why can't he elevate towards the rim and put the ball on the glass for a layup?
Its either power dunk or floater. Nothing else. Very weird

With Dunn we switch our coverage from Man to Zone to Man within the same play. Only a Lebron or a Kawhid can beat that.
It also helps that the offense is functioning at a much higher rate so you can more easily set your defense for those kinds of things. If you're constantly having to defend transition it makes life very hard on your D (which ws the primary driver IMO of the bad early season defense).

Also, you want to hear some bad takes?

How about how much bitching there has been about Hardy being stuck to rotations/lineups when there couldnt be anything further from the truth.

I sure did. I also noticed that the two of them spent more time chatting about Redick's stats and Lauri's army service than the actual game.

This two days after I watched the Bucks' announcer talking about Kessler Walker all night.
JJ was a bit of fresh air when he started, but he has gotten a bit annoying.

Granted, I think live sports commentating is the hardest job in sports media to do well. Even if you are great, there are only so many things you can say and so many ways you can say it. Eventually your voice/perspective will get stale or you will assume a character that gets stale.

I have been bitching about the opposite lol.
