Yeah, it would not matter who was in office. Blame would go around in our current political environment. PPE was very limited and needed in hospitals. So the government told us not to wear (or just make) make masks. They knew they were lying, but wanted to have PPE available for medical professionals until more could be made. That is how vaccines work.
The measles had been almost completely eradicated. Everyone was getting vaccinated. Now people don't trust vaccines. People are getting the vaccine as much. Measles making a comeback. Same with HPV virus
As for Trump. I never blamed him. A pandemic is an extremely tough thing to deal with. He was ****ed. Shut things down? Everyone mad at him. Don't shut things down. Everyone mad at him.
You got a few things wrong there too btw. Trump said to inject disinfectant, not drink bleach. The media I saw told me he said to inject disinfectant. Because I literally watched him say it in a press conference lol.

Trump wanted to shut all borders and Democrats called him a bigot for doing so. It may have helped but we now know it was too late.
I do not like Trump, but Hillary would have similar opposition and complaints. I think the government tried their best. Hopefully they'll be more prepared. Next time a pathogen could much deadlier.
