Potential Trade Targets

Tony is reporting the Jazz are not in on Murray and never did make an offer.
Wonder if Will told DA he's an ******* or something. Will seemed opposed to bringing in a vet. I'm 100% okay with this.

I enjoyed watching Techio play. Bummed to see him go.

Still, think about it from a business side of things. He's 29 or 30 now so he isn't really on our timeline. He was a cheap flyer free agent who was terrible last year. We developed him into a 1st pick of the second round which is typically a DUBS on the best Euro draft and stash guy pick. We don't end up paying him a big contract to retain him.

We got a draft and stash prospect so that's basically a twofer.

Kevin Knox has always intrigued me. He saves us $1,000,000 roughly vs. Fontecchio and is an unrestricted FA by next year so we can rent him and see if he sticks. He won't be expensive to retain and he seems to always kick our butts when we play against Detroit. Even if he doesn't play a minute, it opens up time for Hendricks to develop.

I didn't see us getting that much for an expiring Fontecchio in spite of him being a 29 year old restricted FA so it's really a 3 month rental and I am guessing he gets at least $8 million per year with Detroit or someone else.

Really decent business move. Bummed to lose that Italian Stallion.

I initially read this as Will telling Ainge that he (Ainge) is an *******. So now I’m choosing to believe that Will told Ainge that Ainge AND Dejounte are assholes.
This for sure happened... Will's response went as follows:

DA - How you feel about Murray?

Will - He's an ******* but you like assholes cuz you are an *******. Don't trade anyone especially Tech... he's my homeboy

DA - (smiles) okay Will.

If Ainge is playing long game I would prefer to keep the 2 FRP's over Dejounte. The picks would probably have more value in a potential star trade down the line too. No teams seem willing to trade FRP's with this looming 2nd apron tax penalty.

I think it might be more to do with they think Keyonte is the future and will be ready sooner than later.
Yep and don't think Dejounte is necessarily a great fit with Key esp after seeing the fit with Trae. It would be kinda stupid to trade FRP's for an interim guy. We're already seeing with Collins that you might not be able to flip that contract either.

KO to OKC for picks
JC to Knicks for Fournier+Grimes

That's how I see this deadline playing out.
Tony Jones said no Ko to OKC. He's been spot on thus far.

KO to Philly is the one that makes the most sense imo. I really hope we do the Grimes deal now after Tech was shipped out.
