Build around Lauri, while simultaneously offloading valuable vets at the deadline, while also adding wonky fits, but not necessarily cashing in chips to add around Lauri....

Maybe by the end of the deadline we have our answer. Up until now its not super clear. That's fine... for now.

Maybe this Detroit pick is re-routed to Atlanta or someone in a BIG deal. Where it sits it looks like we may be churning for draft assets again. Its fine.

He's playable already... as like a 12-15 minute a night type of guy. He is what he is though... he is salary filler in the deal.

Well, we know Ainge is going to take the best offer for an expiring player he doesn't want to pay money to the next season. So given that we've landed with the 32nd-ish pick, we can assume that Boston didn't offer anything higher, if the entire thing wasn't a smoke screen to begin with.

That means that Boston likely offered their second that is protected from 30-54, or their Dallas Mavs second round pick. I'll take a Bullets' pick over a Mavs' pick in 2024 any day.
