Which team was it that won a title with a great wing and no other good players?
Don't move those goalposts so much. We are obviously discussing about if a team can win a title having their best player (and highest paid player) being a big. Jokic qualifies.
It's rare but it happens...
Ya there was no discussion taking place about that.
There was a discussion taking place about whether a center can be your best player and win a championship though.
Do you think Shaq, Hakeem, embiid, jokic or wemby can lead a team to a championship? That is what the discussion was about.
I thought he looked comfortable and fast attacking with the ball in hand. But if he gets the slightest bump by the defender then he gets knocked off balance. His slight build is definitely detrimental right now. Not sure he can do much about that this season.
WCJ last night:
25 minutes, 3-8 from the field (37%), 2-6 from 3 (33%), 1-2 from the line (50%), 3 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 block, 2 turnovers, 9 points.
Decent debut. Love the assist numbers (should have had a few more).
5-12 from the field (42%), 2-6 from 3 (33%), 5 rebounds, 1 assist, 14 points, 1 steal, 1 block, 1 turnover, plus minus of zero in 25 minutes. Not bad at all. Which is good for Cody.
I was pleasantly surprised by his ok play out there.
Me too. Not super efficient (only because he didn't get to the line and his 3 ball wasn't falling) but he was getting blocks and steals and rebounds and had hella swagger and was talking ****. He was second on his team in assists as well.
He had an impressive game.
But again, it's one...
I liked what I saw from Cody but he still mostly sucked. Remember when WCJ set him up with a wide open three with the shot clock winding down and he air balled it lol.
But at least he didn't look like the worst player for either team so I guess that's a win.
