2023 JazzFanz Annual Current Players Draft

Is number 1 too early for JHS?

The only fun part of these drafts seem to be the draft itself. Nobody actually comments or votes on the matchups, so the competition is basically over after the draft lol
The problem with the last one is the simulation was done first so everyone had it in their head that the vote didn't matter. Took the suspense out of it. Needs to be held to the end to compare the simulation to the voting results to see how we all did.

Maybe, although the voting did not follow the sims. Also, the first round got 30 votes per contest, and then less with each subsequent round. I think the problem was having expired matches stickied for days, while newer ones littered the forum unstickied. I'm guessing people won't bother if they need to click each post to see if they have already voted on the matchup. The threads need to be stickied and unstickied faster, and new matchups shouldn't be posted until older one have been unstickied.

It isn't that it followed the SIM. It's that once the SIM selected a winner there isn't any impetus to vote really. So enough people saw that and just didn't bother to vote. I'm not saying it's the only reason the voting fell off but it certainly was a contributing factor imo.

As far as sticky the threads the problem there wasn't good coordination with management to get that done timely. Or @Jason new to give someone who is on here a lot the power to sticky threads so it doesn't get missed.

I just don't think people pay close attention to the sim. I personally only took a quick glance and I don't even remember who won. But maybe that's just me. It's possible others cared about the sim.

I think giving a participant sticky power is a great idea.
