I just don't think people pay close attention to the sim. I personally only took a quick glance and I don't even remember who won. But maybe that's just me. It's possible others cared about the sim.

I think giving a participant sticky power is a great idea.

Well that thread has a lot of views and a lot of comments. Not sure why you think that means people didn't pay attention to it. It was an awesome analysis and lots of people were interested. I just know that usually the SIM comes later and we get better voting participation. This year the SIM came out right away and then voting fell off a cliff.
