2025 Off-Season Trade Ideas Thread

Would have made yesterday very exciting, but it's not the worst idea to have more future draft capital. I guess the deal would be Barrett+Filler (Boucher human trade exception makes the most sense IMO) + 4 firsts for Lauri? Think I would have to say yes to that.
Yeah I just don't know if they get that wild. They are just so weird and so expensive for a play in team in the East.

IQ
Ingram
Barnes
Barrett
Poeltl

What is the idea there?

There is no idea....makes no sense. The Ingram/Barnes/Barrett trio is just hilarious and as much as I love IQ he's also not the PG you want there. Lauri would be so good for them.

Someone of the twitter threw out Conley into our MLE and we take 31. The tank would suffer and I am just weary of helping Minny but maybe this doesn't help much?

We can always waive Conley and let him choose his last team (if he still wants to play)
Or re-route him to a team like Sacramento that needs some PG help and an adult. I don't hate it. It would help the Wolves keep NAW but I am not sure that changes the world for them.

yeah, I tossed out the idea of them cutting Conley's salary earlier. I just don't know if that's a real concern of theirs.
I do kind of want a vet pg to help us not be fully incompetent but I wonder if Mike is feeling spry if he might eff up the tank.

POR is another team that is obviously wanting to move forward but needs shooting desperately. Ayton + Thybulle/Timelord is an easy salary match.

Kangz already with buyers remorse on Lavine:

Beyond the point guard vacancy, though, league sources say the Kings are open for business when it comes to discussing the various possibilities with their roster. No one should be surprised by the fact that they’re willing to listen on any player. They have a hodgepodge collection of pricey, mismatched talent that was amassed by the previous front-office regime of Monte McNair and Wes Wilcox (and with owner Vivek Ranadivé having significant influence).

Zach LaVine ($96.4 million combined, including a player option in the 2026-27 season) is chief among them. While the 30-year-old, two-time All-Star is extension-eligible this summer, team and league sources say there are no plans for the Kings to prioritize a new deal for LaVine. If they’re going to pay that sort of freight, it’s quite clear, it will be for a younger player who can be a long-term part of their picture. To that end, league sources say the Kings are among the teams that have interest in Golden State’s Jonathan Kuminga and will be monitoring his market when his restricted free agency begins. And while it appears unlikely that Kuminga will ultimately come their way, it speaks to the vision, and the range of possibilities here, that they’re even focusing on players of that ilk.

It's our time. Engaging with the dumb teams is one of the most important ways to get an advantage in this league.

I think bringing been Conley is great if we are and to unload Collins/Sexton. I don't think we'd be only 20 wins bad, but should be able to get to bottom ~6 given the West. Conley probably only has 60 games and 22 MPG in him so I don't think it would block Collier and WCJ too bad. Maybe gets Lauri gassed back up.

Would happily buy him out though as well
