I knew I was missing something. ****.They got Porzongis
Then again, is he really reliable?

Sexton to the Lakers makes a ton of sense. My guesses
Sexton to the Lakers for Gabe Vincent, Maxi Kleber, and two seconds
John Collins to the Grizzlies for KCP and a top 4 protected Magic pick (KCP sent to another team?)
Clarkson maybe waived.
That’s good. IF the Lakers like Sexton, I wonder if a bigger deal could be pulled off with Boston, the Lakers and our Jazz. Something around…This deal saves the Celtics a ridiculous bag. It is probably around $80 million. I would in intrigued by their first and Sexton / Anfernee are similar players.
Swap springer with Juzang or Svi and it still works but it doesn't save the same bag.
I could be talked in to giving them a pick swap in 2027 with the worst of our 2 picks so long as we retain the 2026.

The Celtics didn’t retain so much draft capital by throwing around picks in salary dumps. This deal saves the Celtics a ridiculous bag. It is probably around $80 million. I would in intrigued by their first and Sexton / Anfernee are similar players.

They saved a lot more money in the Jrue and Porzingis deals and didn’t give up a 1st. They also got under the 2nd apron already (still in the LT, though).Yeah, i doubt it, but if they want expiring contracts for nothing... it ain't happening. Who in this market is going to drop $8 - $9 million extra in salary to get Anfernee Simons without getting an asset in return.
And we are talking about HUGE money. $80 million is a lot of Cavier and Cheese.
Just depends how badly they want to get below the 2nd Apron and what other avenues they have to do it.
You make some fine points but it’s not going to be a 1st… though maybe they’d do a lottery-protected, but those become a nightmare for the sending team regarding their ability to trade other 1sts. I need to take a look at what they have available, maybe they have another team’s 1st that is already protected or something. Why do you want to burst my bubbles numberica? I blow one and you pop it. Sad face emoji every time. Lol.
I do see us as a natural trade partner for the Celtics given relationships and expiring contracts and their desire to reduce payroll but what's in it for us?
Yeah. Not sure what the plan for Nurkic is, but it seems like flipping him into a different trade doesn’t seem that likely. Its a moot point now. Sexton and trash for Simons feels like a winning move at this point. Simons would hurt the tank whereas Nurkic only helps.
Fascinated to see how this JC deal pans out. Looks like we'll have to attach something to get back next to nothing.
Still holding out some hope on Collins. IMO someone should value his production, efficiency and age. He's a damn nice player just doesn't fit here at all.
We just keep Clarkson unless he wants a buyout. He might not get picked up anywhere if he gets bought out, so he might not want a buyout.Fascinated to see how this JC deal pans out. Looks like we'll have to attach something to get back next to nothing.

I think he's gone by end of the week. Ainge's hired 1800-got-junk and are gonna make sure the dumpster is all the way full.I'll be pretty surprised at this point if Collins gets dealt this week. Seems like he's more of a last option when other things dont pan out kind of addition for a team.
