2026 NBA Trade Discussion Thread

Think I may have figured it out. Harden changes things up and could help them win this year. He’s also an expiring contact, which clears the way for a LeBron MLE this summer. LeReturn.
Money saving move. Cavs the only second apron team in the league. They'd do anything to get out of that. Could see Garland getting traded from miles away. But not for Harden lol

How much draft capital do you need to take Poeltl's contract? You'd also need to have a deal lined up for Walker as well... definitely part of the equation. Let's say you can get the Lakers 2032 unprotected and maybe something small extra.

Toronto 2026 pick and a super swap in 2027? Some extra seconds.

Just for reference Poeltl has 4 year 103M left on his deal. Last year is only 5M guaranteed so it could be more like 3/78ish.

I do not remember a healthy Poeltl season in the last 3 the draft picks better be good.

Yeah and I was thinking like 2026 first and entering them into the super swap next year. Maybe Sacramento chips in one of the good seconds or two that they have. The physical may be telling though.

To me its weird that Sacramento doesn't just take him with the draft capital. They are a rebuilding team with a lot of runway and need extra picks.

The Cavs rumors are pretty fascinating. Clearly in full scramble mode.
