5 best Kyrie Irving trade scenarios (Jazz mentioned)

I like your top 9 (though I would have AD at 5 or 6), I think after that top 9 (the cream of the NBA imo) 10-17 are totally interchangeable to a certain extent (I think Irving belongs somewhere in that 10-17 range), then 18-23 is another tier of interchangeable guys, then the rest .

Good list overall. Well done

My thouts to. First five or so ranked 1.a but listed in order next group 1.b in order next group 2.a interchangeable than so on an so forth.

If you can add a proven all-star/budding super-star to your roster without gutting it then you do it, period. There really is little debate about the validity of that. Irving, Gobert and potentially Mitchell could be an all-world three-headed monster. That with a ju-co team for filler would make the playoffs. Add in solid role players and we are competing with the elite. It is a no-brainer. But Irving won't come here, and wouldn't stay long-term if we snagged him somehow. So it is a pipe dream at best anyway. So we might as well go full-on sour grapes and talk about how he would make us worse, when the truth is the opposite really.

Scratch that.

Old Gobert/Favors hype video is just too much!

MAN... That is a beautiful thing to watch. I hope Faves can somehow get the spring back in his step and turn back in time and get his game back.

Utah isn't getting Kyrie or Love. They may be able to sign Carmelo Allen Iverson Anthony's tanked production. LeBron's Cav's don't want him regardless of these stupid rumors.

It certainty is. Teams like GS don't have an answer for our front court with Rudy and Favs at full strength. I'm convinced he will. Weather he stays or not is another question but I think we see old Favs back this year.

I don;t think this year but I think Jazz FO may have had discussions in the event they blow it up next year (good chance).

Pretty darn good list. I would switch the following:

AD with CP3
Thompson with Jokic
Lillard with Lowry

I would rather see, somehow, the Jazz do a multi team trade to get Wiggins. Maybe Melo going to the cavs, Irving to the Wolves.

I thought this year would be implied, but how is Utah supposed to clear enough cap room next summer to sign a max deal player like Kyrie? They are cap tied. By typical Utah Jazz design. The rebuild is waiting on Rudy getting sick of the same old ******** Hayward got tired of and Deron got tired of and Malone complained about publicly. It's sad that we have a top 10 player who will eventually be traded or walk because Utah has a looooong tradition of refusing to build a true contender.

From colton: JJ's contract has substantial value to the Jazz because it comes off the books next year. Same as their three new players (all with team options for next year, anyway). And Favors is a FA and Exum, and Hood are RFAs. So the Jazz are poised to have a TON of flexibility, and to be a major player in the free agent market next summer.

It looks like the only players the Jazz have under contract (not including the three team option players) are Gobert, Rubio, Ingles, Burks, Mitchell, and Bradley, for a total only of $68 million in guaranteed salary. Again, they will have a ton of flexibility! If they trade JJ for a player with a longer contract it will potentially hurt that flexibility.
