Al Jefferson is so clutch!

Gotta love posters bashin Big Al when you had brick city Hayward and Carlos Arroyo Harris on the court.

Why is Big Al having to shoot 20 foot jumpers? You'd think the former #9 pick could have created for him? Or maybe the point guard?

Anyone seen what Lin, Collison, Westbrook, and Parker have done against us at the point? Why doesn't Harris ever do that to opposing defenses?

Because Harris sucks

Bodhi and Franklin are smart dudes, but I'm gonna remain a lot more optimistic about Hayward. There is no question he isn't meeting expectations, but I see literally nothing being done to the offense to help him out. Not only is he expected to get 90+% of his production within a stagnant feed-the-post offense that doesn't highlight his unique skill set, but he isn't even playing alongside athletes that can complement his skills (I think the high screen with Favors and Enes needs to happen A LOT MORE).

He's responsible for getting his shot dialed in, but a lot gets pinned on the coaches' schematics.

I still have full faith that we'll see him hit 15/4.5/5 (not this year, obviously)

And, oh yeah, his defense is coming along pretty nicely. Most of us thought he'd really struggle in that department. He's already serviceable, and could be much better than average.

I'm not disagreeing with what he will be, NAOS.
I just think he's soft enough to wipe a baby's *** with.
He's a frail, 19 year old white kid playing with men who could crush him in one blow.
It's like me going to prison or playing NFL. Plan a funeral.
That's the mindset Hayward looks to be in on court.
I should probably give him extra credit for doing what he does while shaking from fright.

He'll have a future regardless of being scared silly. It'll be brighter if he toughens up.

Hayward doesn't really play until March. Last year we found out he also is great in April. Hopefully May and June are good months for him too.

NOT!

Should've given it to HAYWARD!!!!!

FIRE TY!!!!!!!!! REPLACE WITH HORNACEK. THEN SURROUND HAYWARD WITH SMARTER PLAYERS.

In Jeffersons defense he has been our most consistent offensive threat, and has made a couple game winners at the end of games and desperation shots at the end of shot clocks. He isn't John Stockton clutch, but is capable of being clutch from time to time.

I'm still yet to hear a good reason as to Hayward's significant drop off in production, confidence, level of play, shooting, etc. Does anyone have inside knowledge re this ? Would be interested to hear it.

This seems to me to be a very good question. Why does Hayward start drives to the basket with obviously no intent to shoot? Defenders i believe have picked up on this and defend accordingly. Why has no one said to Hayward go
to the basket and shoot the D*** ball. Hayward strikes me as a young man who does as he is asked, is someone trying to turn him into a point forward? Why does he pass up shooting opportunities or hesitate till the moment has passed by?
I believe he has the talent to be a fine player in the league but something is not tracking right in his development. And i also believe this is the case with our other young players. You can't be successful by starting three players who don't
score hardly at all ( Harris, Bell and Hayward) it just puts too much pressure on the rest of the roster. Defensive reasons? It does no good to hold the other team to 90 pts if you can only score 80. I always felt JS was happier
when the Jazz lost by say 87 to 84 than when they won by 106 to 103. And it seems to be continuing on. WE NEED SHOOTERS!!!
