This month Al Jefferson har been a much better scorer and have been putting up some very good offensive performances. I had a look at the numbers and here is a list of comparable players adding points and rebounds per 48 minutes for the whole season:
Dwight Howard 48,39
Kevin Love 47,66
Amare Stoudemire 45,12
Blake Griffin 45,04
Zach Randolph 43,1
Carlos Boozer 42,96
Pau Gasol 40,58
Al Jefferson 36,31
Al Horford 35,25
Lamar Odom 34,91
If we use Big Al`s nine games in february his total goes up to 41,1 and in scoring he is actually third with 29,35 per 48 only behind Amare and Howard. Does this mean that he is finally figuring it out in Utah, or does it mean that the man can only perform with losing teams as we certainly have been for a while now? I know that Al is not the greatest defensive player in the world, but if he can build on his performances for the last month and keep up those stats even if and when we are winning reguarly, we could actually have a very good players on our hands.
