Al Jefferson`s february

This month Al Jefferson har been a much better scorer and have been putting up some very good offensive performances. I had a look at the numbers and here is a list of comparable players adding points and rebounds per 48 minutes for the whole season:

Dwight Howard 48,39
Kevin Love 47,66
Amare Stoudemire 45,12
Blake Griffin 45,04
Zach Randolph 43,1
Carlos Boozer 42,96
Pau Gasol 40,58
Al Jefferson 36,31
Al Horford 35,25
Lamar Odom 34,91

If we use Big Al`s nine games in february his total goes up to 41,1 and in scoring he is actually third with 29,35 per 48 only behind Amare and Howard. Does this mean that he is finally figuring it out in Utah, or does it mean that the man can only perform with losing teams as we certainly have been for a while now? I know that Al is not the greatest defensive player in the world, but if he can build on his performances for the last month and keep up those stats even if and when we are winning reguarly, we could actually have a very good players on our hands.

Big Al fluorishes in losing teams. See the Jazz record in Feb, including the first post-DWill one. Then see the pre-KG Boston and Minnesota years. As the Jazz will be a rebuilding team, it can only get much better for the Al Man.

Well AJ has been one of the few bright spots in the losing streak. AJ is going to get the blame but in reality his problem is he continues to get surrounded by sucky teammates.

AJ's situation almost induces a laugh if it were'nt pathetic.

He said the 2 biggest things he looked forward to in Utah were playing in Sloan's system and playing alongside Deron. BAAM, BOOM. Both of them gone within a fortnight. Back to square one for AJ.
Tragicomedy right there. Like in a Tarantino film.

Also, if we look at blocks, Big Al`s play in february would have had him as the player with second most blocks per game only behind Bogut if he had these stats for the whole year, ahead of both Howard and Amare in both blocks per game and blocks per 48.

Man, some people on this board are just clueless. A lot of people seem to have no love for Big Al and Millsap, why not? Stats above prove Big Al is one of the best bigs in the game. He even had some nice passes last night too.

To say he is not playing D is ridiculous. For all you who love Hibbert, he forced him to 6 for 16 last night, got 5 blocks and disrupted many other shots. Big Al even played well against Gasol and had a much better game than Dwight Howard when we played the Magic. Those are the 2 best C's in the game.
