How about evidence instead of drama? What crimes were these men convicted of? What evidence do you have?

That line of thinking is terrible bro. You take the information you have and make the best decision you can.

Releasing terrorists and saying "hey maybe they won't do anything bad anyways lol"

is like saying...

"I'm gonna eat donuts for dinner every night and maybe I wont get fat. It makes me happy now, and hey, ya neeeeever know!"

This right here is my point. (I already said in another post that i dont presume to know if the government did the right thing or not. I am simply happy for the dude and his loved ones)

My point is that saying "We dont negotiate with terrorists" is dumb.

Instead it should be just like you said " You take the information you have and make the best decision you can."

We are in agreement good sir

To open another vein of topic here...then what should we do with them and other Gitmo detainees? Just hold and pay for their holding for ever? Kill them off? Release them?

Also we are leaving Afghanistan anyways (leaving just under 10k troops) so what will that do to all the Afghan people that went agaisnt the Taliban? We are already putting them in harms way by leaving. 5 more guys in this scenario does nothing to change that scenario.

If a member of my family was killed looking for this jack-hole who wandered off of base I would be a little more than pissed at this. Also, Obama just painted a nice big target on the back of every American. Now that we have traded for one, why won't we trade for more?

He also killed the economy, destroyed healthcare, single handedly shut down the government, and owns the soul of every firstborn son born during his tenure.
