Best shows on TV?

Started the Mandalorian. It's OK. Definitely feels like a lower budget Star Wars venture. It does have an interesting plot line that explores an aspect not before addressed by any of the Star Wars movies or books. I'm interested to see where they go with it.

I think it's going to be the best thing they've produced since empire tbh.

Ask her how much. I’m curious. Is it in her top 10 for King?
I just asked her. She said no. Not in her to ten.
She said it was good but nothing special.

I recently finished The Institute and I would put that in my top ten King books.

I'm going to get around to watching that I think.

I'm liking watchmen even though it's bat **** crazy. But it's by the same dudes who made Lost and and The Leftovers so it makes sense that it doesn't make sense

If you and your wife get a second (or ten minutes), please give me both your top 10 and hers.

I may start attacking a bunch of King.

Yeah I figured as much but given King’s catalogue, cracking the top 10 would be impressive as hell.
True statement
And everything he makes ends up a movie or TV show it seems.

Dr sleep just came out. The outsiders you mentioned. The Institute is going to be made into something (can't remember whether movie or show). It 2 came out recently. The Dark Tower tv series is in the works.

Ok.
I know her favorite is The Tommyknockers (the movie for that one is horrible though).

I really really like Cell (might be my favorite of his) but I'm in the monitory. They also made a movie if that book with Samuel L Jackson and John Cusak.

Green mile is fantastic (and of course there is a movie for it). We both loved Under The Dome. That book would be in both our top 10. (They made a tv series for that). Duma key was good. We both liked needful things alot.

If you want to read a really good King book that is a straight mind**** then Rose Madder is the way to go.

We both loved Revival. Maybe his most under-rated book.

I will make a top 10 for you though. That will be fun.

I would say stay away from Sleeping Beauties. He wrote that with his son. It's not very good. I found it sexist against men.

After three episodes of interesting, but strange television, I thought they tied a lot of stuff together in episode 4.

Thanks.

I’m pretty sure I’ve only read Apt Pupil which I loved. It’s been 20 years but from what I recall, I felt like it really captured what can happen to impressionable kids. Sort of ahead of its’ time in that sense when you think about school shootings and the interwebz and how dumbass ideologies can lead to tragedy. I still remember the last half page or so where the kid just sets up with some sort of sniper’s rifle, overlooking the LA freeway during pm rush hour, the sun setting, the kid picking off one person, then another, then another, as sirens wailed in response. Or something like that. The movie completely butchered it.

Is Tommyknockers the one in Alaska with four friends, one of whom is the guy from Homeland and Billions? The movie sucked. Or is that Dreamcatcher?

I’ve seen that SLJ/Cusack flick. It was mediocre.

The other films based on his books I’ve seen are: Shawshank, Stand by Me, Christine, Cujo, The Shining, Firestarter (have no recollection though), Carrie, The Dead Zone, Pet Cemetery, Creepshow, Cat’s Eye, Maximum Overdrive, The Running Man, Misery, Sleepwalkers, Silver Bullett, The Lawnmower Man, Thinner, Secret Window, The Mist, It part one, The Dark Tower, and Gerald's Game.

I think that’s it. I’ve never seen CotC if you can believe that.
