Boozer Agrees to Terms With Bulls (5 yrs/80 mil)

can we do a sign and trade with bulls and get taj gibson in a package deal of some sort? We're losing booz for nothing which makes us worse and that's not an opinion, it's a fact! we must get something in return

You'd probably have to take Deng's hefty deal to get a sniff at Gibson. Still interested?

...exactly! His pick and rolls with Rose will look like something out of a funny farm....expect a SERIOUS increase in his turnovers as well...and they were too numerous to fathom when he was here!

I disagree, I think he will do just as well there. He'll be playing against Eastern PF's and he's still one of the best bigs in the NBA at the pick and roll and DROSE will benefit from a PF like boozer

This isn't a surprise. For over a year we've been playing to go into the future without Boozer anyway.

I'm a little disappointed because despite Millsap's hustle, he's not nearly as skilled as Boozer. Nor can he play any 5 at all.

But I'm excited to see how good Millsap can be. Even though he's not as skilled as Boozer, he does seem to play with more heart, defense, and toughness. I also wouldn't mind seeing AK47 get some time @ the 4. It provides us with more PT for CJ and Wes. We'll also get to see probably more of Hayward.

I think it starts a new chapter for the Jazz. I'd like to see what we can do with the upcoming cash that we'll have. Personally, I know this may get me murdered on this board, but IMO I believe we're entering a mini rebuilding phase. Memo is on the downside of his career. Boozer is gone. AK47 is probably going to be gone after this year. Deron is clearly now the lone leader and "franchise" player. The rebuilding phase will allow us to develop our younger players, spend money on new free agents, and perhaps finally build a championship team that was obviously impossible to construct with marshmallows Boozer and Memo inside and AK47 sucking our coffers dry.

Noah and Boozer will be fun to watch inside. they'll grab every single rebound out there. At least, for the first 35 games that Boozer will play in next year. Then Noah will be alone once again as Boozer takes 5 1/2 months rehabbing a tweaked hammy.

Heard this on the way home from work.

While I'm excited that this bum is no longer on our roster they should have traded his *** 2 years ago like I have been pushing and gotten something of value for him instead of just letting him walk for nothing.

For those calling for a S & T, why would Chicago have any interest in giving the Jazz anything they would want? They might offer Deng but with his contract that's a no go without Gibson and a future pick as well. Since Chicago has no interest why should they deal with the Jazz on a S & T?

PS. I only read the 1st page before posting this so if it's been addressed I apologize. I'm going to read the rest now.
