What's new

Bucks @ Jazz | Monday November 29th @ 7pm

Yeah, but I think Harprings main point was about the Bucks playing primarily 1 on 1 basketball as opposed to "team" basketball the entire game, which that play was another example of... And the team that did that won the game, and in decisive fashion...

Harpring brings something to the commentators booth that gives you insight to this team... A team he's played on for quite a few years and that insight gives you an inside look at what goes on at halftime and during timeouts, which I find very interesting...

At the beginning of the season, I forgot the game but they were playing horribly, and he said... "Sloan is going to tear into this team at halftime, that is one of the few reasons why I'm glad I'm sitting here with you Boler, because there is nothing worse than a ticked off Jerry Sloan."

Stuff like that offers a bit more to the game because you know that he is telling the truth about what goes on behind closed doors... That's why I like Harpring... He's also energetic and I really enjoy the "buckle up" game these two guys banter back and forth with when the game is close at the end of the game... In a way, it's brilliant... And Harpring plays the role of the "rookie" commentator to perfection which can add a chuckle or two as well...

I think he's entertaining and informative at the same time... Not to mention, you can tell the guy is humble and a very likeable guy... That's just my take

And CJ is the same old CJ. A stinker against Lakers and Hornets. Next game, better shooting. And then a stinker again tonight.

The fact that Ronnie Price is getting so many minutes at the SG is testament to the fact that we're thin at the SG position. I don't mind it, but I think our back court is preventing us from being a legit contender.... unless CJ happens to be on that night.

Damn right. If Bell and CJ dont get consistent, we 'll be in deep trouble. Production out of Wings has been one of our biggest headaches in the playoffs before. This year, the defense is pretty decent and more consistent. The scoring and outside shooting? Not so much.

Crappy shooting, but other than 7 missed shots made every good decision. I'm telling y'all, the kid is a player, even if he isn't a baller.

Man, some people here really don't have a clue about this game I guess... Even though the guy got the foul, what Harpring was pointing out was that was the difference between a good team and a bad team was the fact that if the guy would have passed it to the wide open man, they would have gotten the easy two...

It was actually a good observation even though they got the foul... Oh and by the way, the guy missed one of the free throws too... So actually, it ended up working out better for the Jazz...

Thank you, that's exactly what he was doing. He was pointing out how D-Will and Millsap passed back and forth for an easy layup on a break, and that the guy on the Bucks ran into a foul and missed the layup. Come on people, pay attention.

LOL - talking about not having a clue - so you think it's better to maybe have two points than to have two free throws and the opposing team's playmaker and best player forced to sit down?

And the fact that he missed a free throw is besides the point - what if Williams slapped the ball away or they made a bad pass or missed the layup?

The Bucks are the bad team in the example, not the Jazz. The Jazz are the good team in the example. He was not saying anything about D-Will's defense.
You don't go to force a foul, you go for the sure points. If you try to force a foul you end up looking like AK on those drives where you look like an idiot and miss the shot, and dont get a call. You have to go for the sure shot, and hope you get the foul call.

I'd love to meet a consistent 3-point shooter that doesn't have off shooting nights followed by hot ones.

You have no clue what you're talking about or the point I was trying to make.
