Is that more convenient? Does that create postcount and rep that's transferable to JF?

No, but it is quite the sizable community of players and a lot of grandmasters, haven't been there in awhile but I am absolutely positive it is more convenient then however the heck you are doing games, lol. You can play live with a clock and also games that takes several days, you can set the days to make a move to like a day or two.

Well, I am a workaholic, a binge worker when I get going. The past day has been the first day I've sat down in months. And I'll have to get up tomorrow and start again. But as things are, I must be here about every other day or every third day whatever else I do. And when I'm here, I'll sit down once in every few hours to take a break.

I think I should only play one game at a time, even if it's a slow mover. The way I do things, I like to think it over as I go along.

AHA!! You fell into my cleverly laid trap!!

I hope you're having fun with these traps.

I guess you mean you can pin my knight with your bishop or something. I think I've seen this before. You just like to do diagonal pawn games, don't you.

So I went back looking for where you've done this before, and found instead your advice to Jonah:

When in doubt develop your pieces to the best squares in the strongest order: minimal pawn moves, knights before bishops, castle kingside early, etc.

Usually, when I see this early development I anticipate an early Queen deployment along the diagonal opened up here, sometimes the white diagonal bishop is deployed to pin a knight, but you need to have some kind of target for taking something with my pinned "defender" out of action. Computers use this sometimes, and are hard to beat back. It's one of the starts I don't really like. . . .

.
So far, you have two pieces moved into the eight strongest positions on the board, to my one. I am going to violate your advice even further.

It's sorta looking like you might just do a phalanx pawn attack on that side. . . You denied me the spot where I could park a bishop, checking you and forcing you to interpose a bishop or knight, usually a fair trade particularly if it could force a King move out of castling position.

I really don't like all this work on that side of the board. It gets to be a problem just stopping the pawn advances and it makes a queenside castling defense difficult for me. Then when I do set up my defense on the other side, it makes it difficult for me to do my own phalanx pawn march down that side, which I'd love to do.

This game really is all about offense, imo.

Black has to force the initiative at some point or he always remains a move behind. The sicilian is my favorite approach to that against king pawn openings.

Just playing this one willy-nilly. Haven't seen any diagrams except the ones you are posting.

I've been editing your post when I quote it to keep the moves together. I sorta get the sense you're not exactly a vicious computer program pouncing on me in the most invincible unanswerable way. But I expect you will reveal your scheme soon enough, and that it will be just as uncomfortable.

After playing Siro, and ECTYA, and OB in what was to me a very difficult platform, I am finding that life is more comfortable now. It's the way I always learn new stuff, particularly detailed or ritualistic trivia that forms the context of all the larger issues we deal with. I stumble, flounder, and do a lot of very stupid stuff before I begin to cope. Maybe I can be a challenge here.
