I recognize this as an excellent move on your part. In my protracted explorations of possibilities a few days ago, I did look at this. For some reason I ranked it as unlikely to be your choice. I want to look at it again. Some of my scenarios lead to a real chance for you to win this game, and pretty quickly, but I am not forced to allow those paths to happen. Neither can I force you into a path that is certain to yield me a victory. I have two possible moves here, and interestingly, the one that appears to be most reckless on first appearances can still work out for me. . . . perhaps.
So I am on a time crunch for this weekend. I would like more time to think this over.
Victory Assured
So, I've looked again at this, and I think I win this game. But, who knows, Log might see something I don't.
So my move is Kf4
The only other move I considered was Kf5, which would likely ultimately go pretty much the same way. In choosing Kf4 I am eliminating another check move from Log's Rook, which would force me into a place I really want to go, anyway. . . ., but I'm also allowing a Bishop check move from Log which would send me to a better place. With the Kf5 move, there was one thing I needed to watch out for downstream which could have given Log a victory. But I could avoid it, and still prevail. With this move, there is also a possible move for Log that I need to watch out for, but again I have the answer. This will not be a long game.

I guess you've done your best the past three moves. I had planned to shift my King to g4 (Kg4). Not as sweet as if my rook were still in position to produce a discovered check with a pawn move, but I think manageable.

Sorry it has taken me so long to respond to this. This is the move I anticipated that you would make here, but I wanted some time to review the situation. When I explored this path before, I had a good response, but I forgot what it was. . . .lol. . . . . I mean, after I take your pawn with my pawn. . . . . going somewhere with my Rook now that both lanes are wide open.
