So what comes next is not yet predictable for either of us, imo. fundamental decision here on strategy.

I've got to be going back on the road right now. later. . . .

You've thrown at least three different moves at me that took me by surprise, the last being c4.

I don't know that the game is up in the air, but I think you have some work to do before you can consolidate your advantages.

I thought about castling here, but Bxc6 looks more forcing and easier to calculate. Interesting to analyze and get your thoughts later on when things calm down.

So much for your attack withering. I don't see a way to avoid going down a piece relatively quickly, so I'll resign here.

My plan after 19. . . Nc4 was 20.Nxc4 (not possible with the Q on c5) dxc4 21.Qxc4 Qe8 22.Nd4 Qxe5+ 23.Kf1 and now the bishop should be lost.

A wild game. Thanks for playing.

My move is to move the threatened Rook forward one space.

R(c2)c3(edit.... did I misread the diagram when I wrote this?) or from the perspective in the above pic. . . R(e7)e6. sure you know what I mean anyway.

I looked at this as the second most likely move you'd make, the one I ranked first was the K move to protect the white pawn and force my Rook to move. . . . .I'll be back to respond after I meet some appointments this afternoon. . . .

I enjoy this a lot because I feel free to just try **** and see where it goes. The guys I play with weekly are worried about their ratings and some of them are quite dick-ish about the "level of play" and post-game analysis. It was funny when I ended up 2nd in the last rated event I took place in.

Has Walter Browne ever played in any of your tournaments? I think he was based in Reno for a time. Anyway, years ago when I was a kid and watching him play a tournament game and standing too close, he glared at me and shooed me away with a wave of his hand. Maybe he's retired by now but he was a strong GM and an interesting player in his day and I always liked his game.
