One thing that I'm super surprised at is Brandon Knight's bench. 10 times being as skinny as he is, dude must be ripped.
I'm surprised he even had 4% body fat. Dude is lean.
I think anywhere below that and your brain starts to malfunction. I'm serious.
Lowest body fat % ever recorded at combine is 2.6% by Dahntay Jones
Anything under 5% is considered bad for the fact being that it's impossible to build muscle under 5% body fat.
Brandon Knight seems to be doing a pretty good job building muscle with no body fat.
.The percentage of body fat in healthy humans ranges from 5 to 40 per cent. Females have more body fat than males. Athletes vary in body fat depending on their sport. Distance runners tend to have a low fat content. While most humans have too much fat some get carried away with trying to achieve unrealistic, unhealthy low levels. For females, body fat should not be less than 15 percent and for males, not less than 5 percent. Excess dieting can cause loss of muscle mass and strength along with fat. Most athletes perform best in the low-fat rather than the very-low-fat range.
So you are saying if we draft Brandon Knight we need to fatten him up with some of that Utah cooking?
That's EXACTLY what he's saying.
But seriously, unless you have a disorder, your body stops building additional muscle unless you have a body fat above 5%. Which is another reason his performance on the bench press is so impressive. There is a difference between bulk and cut. While Knight is cut as hell and has a good build, he could easily add more good weight.
Regardless, my point is that he is in fantastic shape and you have to love that, especially for a kid so young.
