Danny Ainge seems to me like he doesn't care about attitudes, character, or signing players that only have a certain clean record. Quite the opposite in fact. Strong character's have been a part of Boston for the last 10 - 15 years. From 30,000 feet (and the past gets foggy of course) but it has always seemed to me like whenever there was trouble brewing or a cancerous player, Boston was at least rumored to be interested.
Examples:
He took Marcus Smart after he shoved a fan. Big media news at the time -

Celtics signed Rasheed Wallace who was the league's biggest pissant at the time because he would be the best basketball decision they could make at the time.
Here are some of the goofy characters he has picked up as free agents: Stephon Marbury, Isaiah Thomas, Enes Kanter
The Jazz have always been the opposite. Risk averse when it comes to low character players. We took Deron over Chris Paul because we believed him to be the better character and because he showed up in a suit and tie and wanted to be in Utah (yeah, that aged well). We took Gordon Hayward over Paul George. Seemed like a nice kid (also aged well).
So, what will we see under Danny Ainge's tenure? Character over quality? Or throw Character out the window? Jazz way or Danny's way?
We saw Trader Danny knows how to bring in draft pieces. But what type of Free Agent or trade piece does Danny go after next? Time will tell. But I could see Danny being very interested in big name players with major flaws when they are not valued by the league. Like it or not, I think that Danny would be very interested in Kyrie, Ben Simmons, and even Miles Bridges now if the price was right.
