Dante's Pre-Draft Measurements and How He Compares

If Exum can bring anything that he has to the table, then there will be more where there came from. One thing I'd like to see more of is his tenacity. He has this guise of a guy playing ping pong in his head, should I drive or should I shoot? I think he should do whatever Jason Kidd wants him to do

Can you give us some examples, please? Maybe some dude's that were drafter top 10. Thanks.

Why bother limiting it to top 10 picks? The point is there are a ton of guys who've run that fast and the far majority didn't even have a cup of coffee in the NBA. But to meet your demands, Joe Alexander and Brandon Knight are two top 10 picks who amounted to nothing or are just flat out mediocre and ran faster. Hell, Raymond Felton ran a 3.08. It means very little.

vonleh had ridiculous width, but length is about the same

MJ's hand was all about the size of his palms. jordan palmed the ball better than anybody in his position because of his palm. not the actual length or width

I appreciate the response. Thanks.

for a little guy...John Stockton had incredibly large mitts as well.

Don't see your point. You are saying his palm was bigger but his fingers were shorter? Fingers hold the ball against the palm, the palm does not hold the ball.

it's my educated guess, but it's not just my own opinion. many people comment on jordan's palm size - sir charles, phil jackson, carmen & jurko(and many other chicago radio show who they covered jordan for a long time). bigger palm especially with a strong thick finger helps you control the ball better especially when your hands are sweaty. it sticks like glue. it makes you palming the ball effortless.

MJ's 9.75

compare that to greek freak's hand. same 9.75.

MJ's hands are definitely not 'long' proportionally. thick fat fingers too. i think it helps. think this way, ball fits better in MJ's glove.

I know Stockton's hands were huge (anyone know how big?). Eaton's were small. Kobe's seem small too.

In regards to Exum, I am super happy with the pick. While there are question marks, speed is not one of them. From the videos I have seen, he doesn't use screeners very well and generally doesn't use them. That will obviously need to change.

Agree with all that. No doubt he is fast, my only concern is that his speed may be slightly exaggerated because on videos it seems faster compared to much slower and slower-reacting competition than he will see in the NBA. Time will tell, fingers crossed.

Obviously I have only seen video like the rest of you, but the kid looks mighty crafty, quick, and not afraid to push the tempo. He seems very smart, too. Pretty stoked about this pick.
