David Locke takes call during interview on 1280

I have a meeting today with Locke to discuss what happened, I'll fill you guys in on some of the details on Saturday.

Ok good. I think at the LEAST we owe David the opportunity to tell his side of things.

We'll see where it goes with the meeting, then if needed we can search phone records and things of that nature.

For now let's assume it was an honest error and give the guy the benefit of the doubt.

I appreciate the comment. I don't have kids yet, so I don't have the same perspective. I've been thinking it over in my head. I think it depends on how often your kids call you. When I was growing up I called my dad at work maybe two or three times a year, but I had friends who called their dad every day when they got home from school.

I think that bolded line is correct. It probably also depends on the time of day. If my 16 year old daughter were to call me during the day, I'd take it no matter what I was doing--even if I was in the middle of teaching a class--because she never calls me then and it might well be a genuine emergency.

If family calls and I am in a meeting, I push to decline the call. If they immediately call back, then I know there is an emergency and I excuse myself to answer it. My family knows if it is not an emergency, then just follow it up with a text or wait for my return call.

When's locke's radio show? I'm calling in.

I realize we have a face to face already set up for Saturday but Tuesday precedes Saturday in the order of operations. Everyone knows that.
