Dear brothers and sisters from all the different religions,

We live in the 21st century. I thought it would be a period of time where people would show some tolerance, respect and progress to each other but it seems that not much has changed so far. It seems like we’re going back to the Middle Ages where fanaticism and hate used to be common and a reason for much disaster all around the world.

Do never forget that hate against Jews, Christians and Muslims doesn’t get us anywhere. They all have the same origin and so, they often have the same prophetes and stories. Whether it’s written in the Bible, the Koran or the Torah: they all believe in the same and one god!

Those similarities should get us closer and shouldn’t make us enemies. We should be able to prove more tolerance, understanding and fraternalism. Instead of fighting against each other, we should help each other out and continue to have good conservations and especially, a better relationship.

Do never think bad of any religion by seeing some fanatic and mentally weak people. Stop having prejudices without knowing anything. Stop insulting each other with provocations by degrading some people’s belief! Never forget that there is a big potential for violance and that you can lead to some if you don’t behave correctly. Last not least, do always treat people the way you want them to treat yourself!

I have yet to see on American TV any Christian Americans burning Egypt's or Iran's flag.

Come to think of it... maybe I will! Before the Utah game, while I'm burning a Ute flag, I'll throw in an Iranian flag. Hopefully I'll make TV. Then again, Muslim brothers on the other side of the world will probably use my flag burning as an excuse to attack another American embassy and murder more American diplomats.

The problem here isn't religion. The problem here are corrupt governments living off American and UN welfare, bad economies, poor education, and punkasses wanting attention/wanting to gain more "foreign aid welfare."

I'm Swiss with Arabian origin. You only see the extremists, the fundamentalists and start to generalize and think they are all the same. Unfortunately, there are fundamentalists in all the religions: whether in Christianity, Judaism or Islam. It's important to not generalize and think bad of all the people that belong to a certain belief. Never forget that there is always a very, very, very small minority being part of the fundamenalists or allso known as extremists.

To go on with, I have never burned an American Flag or whatever. In Switzerland, this is a crime. If we talk about human rights, the American law system accepts burning Coran, the Bible or Torah as freedom of opinion. Talking bad about prophets and make fun of Jesus or anyone is not acceptable, imo. You can criticize a belief in an objective way but you should stop attacking people by insulting their belief. There are also human rights like human dignity or freedom of belief. Here in Switzerland, it's a crime to degrade people's belief in public and not accepting the human dignity. To spread hate and violance against religions in public is a crime. By calling Mohammed a pedophile or making caricatures by Mohammed or calling Jesus a gay guy or whatever has nothing to do with freedom of speach or opinion. It is spreading violance and insulting the belief of the people or not accepting their human dignity. The same with burning Koran, the Bible or the Torah: it's nothing else than a stupid way to provoke people.

Have you ever seen Muslims making fun of Jesus? Jesus is called Isa and is a prophete according to the islamic belief. By making fun Jesus, Allah, Mohammed or Moses or whoever, we also provoke ourself since all these religions have the same origin and the same and only god.

I don't think anyone is saying that all Muslims are hate-mongerers. But I think what most are saying is that the vast majority of killing done in the name of God in the world today is done by Muslims. That makes Islam dangerous.

I have seen Egyptians murder Americans. That's what pisses me off.

Egypt could be 100 % Mormon and it would probably piss me off even more if they were receiving on avg $2 billion in American welfare and killing American diplomats.

I don't care what your race, religion, etc is:

#1 America shouldn't be funding you. Whether you're Great Britain or Egypt. Fund your own crap.
#2 You especially shouldn't receive funding while American embassies are being attacked and Americans are being butchered by your people. In fact, just the opposite.

If I were Obama, I'd pull the funding out of Libya and Egypt RIGHT NOW. I don't care what critics say. Fund your own crap. We have to build up our own nation.

Make Egyptians actually get an education system. Or get an economy. Or raise taxes. You know, deal with REAL issues rather than sitting around on their asses making up excuses to kill and/or mutilate women, blaming all their ills on "those damn western infidels!"

Put those people to work and we'll see how quickly radicalism and terrorism go away.

it's no secret why terrorism is practically non-existent in good economies, countries who are working, educated countries, etc.

it's in the dumps where they do nothing but sit around where terrorism and radicalism run rampant.

One last thing... Heard they made 4 arrests the other day. And I bet watching their justice system go will make ours seem fast. 4. That's all?

Could you imagine how fast they'd find those attackers, prosecute, and execute them, if we withheld American welfare handouts until justice was served?

That's not fair. I lived in Turkey for some months but I was born in Switzerland and grew up here. My girlfriend is not a religious person at all and while I do believe in god, it's not like I practice my religion. Most of the Muslims are moderate, especially here in Europe. So moderate Muslims are the majority! I'm a lawyer now. I studied at the University of Zurich. I have many Muslims friends that have become doctors, lawyers, architects and so on. Many of them have a good education.

Back to the situation in the ME. People over there hate their government and wish more freedom, that's why there is a revolution all over the north of Africa and the ME. There are many moderate people but are repressed by some fanatic governments and clans. If the majority of Muslims were fanatics and terrorists as you say, there already would be World War III.

But what about the situation now? We Muslims are all seen as terrorists. We are not allowed to built minarets in Switzerland, so no real mosques here. That's the law system here. Many of my friends have problems getting jobs despite having great marks and educations. If you were a scarf, you are screwed. You only can pray in old factories here. I have seen more churches in the islamic Turkey, Arabian nations, the ME, the North of Africa than mosques in Europe.

For example, Germany doesn't allow the circumcision for muslim and jewish people. God damn, many are now seen as terrorists thanks to the media and all the newspapers. That's how Muslims feel here... Law articles agains them everywhere. Since they are the minority, right-wing extremists really repress them and say we are the reason for everything bad like unemployement and so on. Sometimes, I really ask myself what I did wrong...

Let Afghanistan sink or swim on its own.

We're only prolonging the inevitable.

I'd think that conservatives would agree w/me here. You folks feel like domestic welfare is only prolonging the pain. Giving lazy asses money to continue to be lazy asses rather than cut the funding and force them to either sink or swim.

Why then, is foreign welfare different?
