I am optimistic about about what I saw today. There were some mistakes, but there was also some good signs. The negatives I saw were being blocked by the rim twice, a little bit of fumbling the ball and his shot seemed a little off today. On the positive side he has great hustle, loves to bang and is willing to help get others going on the offensive end.

Yeah, I know its only 1 game, but I see a lot of Boozer in him. No way do I mean that as an insult. A 6'11 Boozer is a pretty good player.
 
better hope Kanter didnt get his Snoz broke,He took a sharp elbow from the Ukraine point guard and was noticably in pain and was seen rearanging his Snoz from time to time.He did stay in the game and had a couple tough rebounds late so he showed toughness.
 
The thing that I really didn't like is the offensive style for the Turkish team. They all seem to have the "Hedo" mentality of wanting to control the ball and then take a bad off balance shot. I know that I am generalizing with that statement but the team style basketball was really lacking for me.
 
I think he is incomparably tougher than any big man we have right now. It was a big weakness of jazz for the last couple of years having soft players under the basket. Memo, boozer, big al. And millsap isnt tall enough to bang with big centers. I think Kanter will fill that blank and even though he made lots of mistakes today it will be a big plus for us to have such a hustle-lover big man.

No, Turkish Delight started a thread before this one about the upcoming games. He has Serbia listed as a Friday game, and Germany as the Saturday game.

I think a dead Kanter is a better defender than Boozer. And kanter plays very tough. Boozer doesnt use his body and make hustles like Kanter.
 
Turkey germany game is tomorrow for sure, and Serbia game is on saturday. But im not sure if Nowitzki will play, today he didnt against serbia
