Expectations for the Jazz this season

NBA Champs - why would you think less? Doing it is extremely hard but that should be the goal of this team for the near future. No more baking the cake. I like our improvements and feel like the Jazz have a much stronger bench which was the biggest problem last year. Conley and JC should be better. Bogie was struggling with his wrist injury. DM is a better player and moving him to PG is overdue. I like both draft picks and the improvement I am seeing out of Oni and Morgan. I am excited and hopeful.

So I just realized we have the secret weapon against the Lakers... Dell Demps.

Wasn’t he the guy who pissed off LA when he told them to **** off regarding AD? Good karma is coming to that guy, especially when we go up against that team now with AD.

I think I'm raising my expectations based on how good all the bench players looked. Top 8 are really good obvi... but then some solid specialists on the bench and some good prospects. Think we might be better in the regular season than the playoffs but second round is where I expect us to be... if we do a little better or get some luck WCF would be fun.

Can we please start the season.

Homecourt, top ten in offense and defense, midseason trade to consolidate a couple young pieces in to a better piece (hopefully get under the tax), resign Rudy, conference finals.

Everyone is sleeping on how much better Favors will not only make the bench, and defense, but the offense as well. The Jingles/Favors pick and roll was sorely missing last year. I think it will help Conley too.

Letting Donovan run the offense instead of having Mike Conley be a bottleneck is going to help our offense a great deal. I'm thinking our offense can be top 3, and our defense can be top 7.

oh, good point! Conley playing off ball is a good idea, if only to free up Mitchell at least.

Last night’s game has me thinking that maybe I should raise my expectations a little. That kind of activity and balance + the improvements Oni, Morgan, and Niang (yes, he looks better) seem to have made.... could make us pretty tough.
