FIBA World Cup

I think Gobert comes by that intensity naturally. Dude has a mean streak.

This, big time.

Dude is a tough guy, enforcer type (despite his slenderness) on the court.... playfull fun easy to get along with guy off the court.

Great type of guy to have on your team.

Having said that, i have no idea if he has the talent to be a great player. You can have the best attitude/mentality/personality (which i think gobert does have) but it doesnt mean alot without talent

I didn't see tonight game but here's a translation of a part from a french article on Gobert in tonights (in France of course lol) game :

But it's the other pivot of les Bleus, Rudy Gobert, who mainly made a big impression. For his fourth selection at 22 years old, the Jazz' player displayed his progress since his departure for NBA one year ago. With his extraordinary athletic potential (7ft), he was a level above during the first half (9 points, 3 rbs, ended with 16 and 6) and allowed France to make up her disadvantage on the scoreboard after twenty minutes (36-33).

Some other things that I'm keeping my eyes on.

1.) Does Gordon Hayward make the U. S. team?
If he does make it, then does that partly validate the faith that the Jazz have in him?

2.) How well will the Croatia national team do?
There's a bunch of guys on that team that intrigue me. Dario Saric (76ers), Bogdan Bogdanovic (Suns), Mario Hezjona (one of my favorite players in next year's draft) and of course Ante Tomic (who the Jazz should be brining over this upcoming season.) Part of me hopes they do really well and that Tomic, in particular, stands out. I'd really love to see the Jazz bring him over, and a good showing might speed up that process.

3.) How will Exum and Neto perform?
I can see these two bring a Jazz tag-team duo at PG in the future. Right now, they're both raw and inexperienced. I'd like to see them both get on the floor and do good things, even if their teams aren't as strong as others.

4.) Will Kanter play for Turkey?
He's recovering from his platelet treatment, but has sent out some mixed signals on if he's going to compete or not. I don't really care much if he does, but if he decides that he's healthy enough to do so, I'll be interested in how he looks. This is a critical year for Enes, and I hope he's ready to deliver on all that potential.

The Croatian Bogdanovic is the one who will play for the nets. The Bogdanovic that the Suns drafted will play for Serbian NT.

Thanks. Must have read through that too fast when posting. Regardless, he's an NBA level talent. Even if it's just as a bench player.

How to watch full Australian FIBA games

Bensational wrote:go to*LiveBasketball.tv, sign up (it's free), go to Video On-Demand, then in the navbar on the side select FIBA>World. Then do a search for Australia, and it should bring up two of Exum's games on the first page.

Awesome! Thanks, this will come in handy.

It'll be interesting to see how Tomic does in the WC too.

I'm hoping to see Croatia take on France at some point. Tomic vs. Gobert. That would be fun to watch as a Jazz fan. I am interested in seeing how Ante does this summer. Hopefully he acquits himself well. I'm still holding out some slim hope he ends up here this year or next.
